things i really like about my C63 (and dont like)
1) I love the doors with framed windows, they are always so much more solid than the frameless window doors
2) I love the little bumps on the inside of the interior door pulls, its a nice extra touch
3) I like the AMG menu but wish it would keep thee "AMG" letters lit up all the time
4) I love the flat bottomed steering wheel
5)I love the extra 12v outlet in the glove box
the autobox is growing on me
I wish I could have deleted sunroof
wider rear tires wouldve been nice
a 19 in option that looks like the 18 in wheels aggressive 5 spoke design wouldve have been nice (I couldnt deal with the 19in design so I opted to stay with the 18s)
2 more inches of legroom wouldve made this the perfect sedan
I cant imagine more hp, well there never is enough hp, is it possible the CTS-V his faster or is that just marketing?
Overall this may be one of the most perfect cars ever created by man
(IM sorry if there is a similar thread already , I searched and couldnt find it, if there is maybe the mods could merge this)

Everyone, seems to compare the Cadillac CTS-V to the AMG E63 or C63. This isn't a true comparison, as the Caddy has a supercharger, hence more power. Where our cars have no power adders. Just all engine.....Now strap on a supercharger onto the C63 or E63, and we can talk. I would like to see a E63 with the 5.5 liter Twin Turbo paired against the Cadiilac CTS-V, then we can see who comes out on top. You have to have two cars with equal hp and torque to make a comparison, or your comparison will be loop sided.

I totally agree, but is it worth $5K - $8K to go widebody in the back and have the rear half of the car repainted? AND then getting a set of wide wheels...DPE, ADV.1....360? That is another $5K+. I was looking into this, as that I wished it was wider...the only thing that I would change.

I don't like how easily the door panels, and dash are scuffed. And who's bright idea was it to place, the seats lumber controls on the side of the back rest? Where no one can reach them. Why not place the controls where every other car manufacturer places their seat control at the bottom of the seat near the door. duh....

Based on your logic both cars would need to: have the same type of power adder, same transmission setup (including ratios), same induction design (2v, 4v, OHC, OHV, etc.), same rear gearing, weigh the same and have a similar .cd since all of those things will affect performance.
An E63 is about as natural a competitor as you'll find for a CTS-V, whether N/A or 5.5 TT.

Did you even get the jist to what I'm trying to say. Lets at least make it a fair fight. The CTS-V has a natural advantage via the supercharger. Give the E63 a supercharger or better yet, the 5.5 TT with comparable HP and let race.

2009 C63 with Eurocharged tune and charcoal delete
Since you mentioned it, what is the fix for the weird a/c smell? Seems like it's the worst when you turn the a/c off for a while (like a nice cool fall day) and then turn it back on again. Anybody have any suggestions?

There's more to cars being evenly matched from a performance standpoint than just what their hp rating is. Wanna make it a fair fight.....then we'll have to give the Caddy something equivalent to the AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed trans since it's light years better than the trans in the Caddy.
Maybe it's because I just subscribe to the "run what ya brung" mentality. I suppose it's not fair when I run across a TT V-12 AMG but I just accept the challenge and hope I brought enough, not cry foul to the guy in the AMG because he may have brought more firepower to the fight.

I think that the condensation drain for the A/C needs to be cleaned and disinfected and maybe rerouted. If it stays damp the dust and dirt that stick to it will start to decompose and stink. Might even promote the growth of some mold and/or mildew.

The A/C smell will happen in any car. I went through cabin filters in my VW, Toyota, Audi, etc. If you run your AC, especially with the recirculation option on, the only real way to prevent the mold build up is to run it with the AC and recirc off for 10+ seconds.

more likes, the pseudo drilled pedal look with little rubber dots, the little lights in the inside door handles, the way i can shut the cover over my screen at night (I dont have nav)
The carbon rear spoiler is awesome, I love my hood bulges
nitpick, the carbon package needs more carbon parts especially for what it cost me

I love the hood buldges, the power, the sound, the wheels even they aren't nearly wide enough.
Wish the transmission had the E63's wet clutch design but still like the shift actions and logic.
Don't like the brakes which are too light and grabby right before the car comes to a complete stop.

Do a cam instead (which also cost alot less) and a CTS-V with a few other basic mods should be in the 10's @ nearly 130 mph (drag radial, decent air, pump gas).

The lumbar seat controls are three swithces on the side of the seat, near the center console. Open your back door, and look at the passenger seat, they should be easily seen, on the side of the seats back rest, near the center console. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/...6/AMG/a015.jpg You should see the buttons on the passenger seat now, near the center arm rest.
