Really need some help for my rear door pins

Well, I am finally back home on break and decided to start my C63 mod with the door pins. The front was easy, but now I have a really big problem with the rear. You see, after I pop the old ones out and in for the new ones, the rear left one won't stay lock with the pin so it will pop back up and come lose. However, this is not even the worse, as I accidentally use too much force and pushed the pin for my rear right ALL THE WAY INSIDE THE DOOR!!! So as of now I can't even see the pin and the rod anymore, and the door stays locked :(. Currently I am reading up on how to remove the door panel but I don't have the right tools, and I REALLY hoping that I didn't break the rod. Any ideas?

Sheep... sad face.

Welcome back and glad you are ok! Look at the Ebay AMG lock pin thread. I did the same thing you did and posted a DIY on how to remove the trim panel and clip the pushed-in lock assy back into place. It is really easy. You will need a Torx screw bit (forgot which size). Use hot melt glue to stick the pin onto the ball. I used a stronger PDR type glue stick, but maybe.....maybe....regular glue stick may work.

Yeah, I was looking for it but can't find the post... I guess I have to try looking harder.

I think he means this one. See post #117 https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...rnative-5.html

Other posts in the thread may be helpful as well.

Thanks a lot! I will try to find the right torx and get it fixed :).

Thanks. Also, read post #123 on how to pop the lock cable back onto the door trim panel.

Sheep, don't worry. You didn't break enything.

Question: do I have to break the orange pins during the removal or I can somehow take the panel off with out breaking the pins? I really don't want to order anymore stuff as my schedule is tight...

More than likely, you wouldn't break any of the orange clips. Just remember if some are stuck to the door, remove them and slide them back into their holders on the trim panel before pressing the trim panel back onto the door. If they do break, no biggie for now and just replace them later.
