Sad day....

Guys!! A couple nights ago someone backed into our C63. :mercy:The damage is pretty bad so we'll need to replace the front bumper, grill and hood. We are planning to fit one of our CF hoods on the car and a new Euro bumper(no reflector gap!). As for the grill, we will be putting on the Carbon Fiber wrapped grill that we are currently selling. We hope it wont take too long until the car is back in good shape. For us here in New Jersey we will be getting some bad weather pretty soon so be careful to those experiencing the same conditions and be sure to keep your eyes open because you never know whats coming at you next! Theres nothing worse than walking back to your car and seeing this! Good news is the car will be looking even better than new when we have all the new parts installed along with some other goodies that we will be adding to our current inventory. Attached are some pics of what the damage looks like. Be safe!

Big time condolences. Sounds like you've got a nice plan for making something good out of it though.

_AMG_ 12-20-2010 12:18 AM

Ouch!! Sorry to hear that.
Its gonna look even better with the MCD parts.

There's a special ring in hell for people that do that. But definitely excited to see the outcome.

Are you claiming this or reporting it? I hate that this happened to you but future buyers should know it has happened. Such an awful thing, I wish you could have caught who did the damage. A front end collision on a car like this costs you not only to fix but once you try and sell also.

ZephyrAMG 12-20-2010 01:24 AM

Awe man I hate this kinda stuff. Hope it didn't ruin your night. Look forward to new upgrades...

Muskoka_AMG 12-20-2010 11:59 AM

I hope you find who did this.

When air is no longer plentiful, people like that should be the first to be jettisoned into space.

PetroC63 12-20-2010 12:20 PM

Ouch! I know how you feel.

I was hit by a runaway shopping cart about a week and a half
ago. Tried to get one of those dent removal places to get the
dent out to no avail. Unfortunately, I need body work.:(

Sorry to see that Mark. Glad you are being positive about something negative.

Can't wait to see the new parts installed!

schmick325 12-21-2010 07:18 PM

That is extreme damage but from the photo it looks repairable by PDR.
Just need a good dent tech. Is the paint damaged?

Check on www.doording.com for a good one in your area.

No paint damage at all.

I had someone from a PDR get most of it out but it still looks
messy, he said he did all he could do. Didn't charge me a cent.

Maybe, I'll look into another PDR place.

The above pic is prior to a PDR technicians work.

It was very windy the day it happened. Some lazy person left
the cart out and the wind did the work I guess.:nix:

When I first saw the damage, it felt as if someone sucked
the life right out me.:(

Hard for me to say as I'm looking at pic and not real life.
I do still think a good tech could have done it.

I've been doing PDR for about 6 yrs.

Few years ago I had a (just painted ) supercharged BMW m coupe, I decided to be nice and go into a local flower shop and buy some flowers for at the time a girlfriend, I specifically parked far away so I would avoid any damage issues with other vehicles, as I'm walking back to the cat do I not see some lady basically push her shopping cart right Into my hamman front bumper!!!!!!! Worse part was she tried denying it until I showed her my pAint on the freaking shopping cart!!!!!!!

( if there's spelling issues blame it in the iPhone haha)

Did you beat her ass? That is obviously the correct course of action for this situation.
