Still not feeling the LEDs on the front bumper, to me the current round fogs give it a better look.

The LED game was sewed up by Audi. Angel Eyes by BMW. MB trying to get in as a copycat is not a good look. They should have stuck to the rounds, as you said.

Yea, the LED strip lighting or light bar for some reason reminds me of that old stupid show with David hasselhof and his talking car. the reshaped hood- headlight and the LED fog softened the bad a$$ed look as well. Other than that the car is going to be awesome.

Wonder why everyone hates led...i like 'em. Maybe i have a lack of taste :P
LED's are good in the manner that first off, they are only used as day-driving lights (?) after which the Xenon's take over when it gets dark. Secondly, there is great pressure on all companies to be greener. Agreed, the 6.2 isn't exactly a poster child for that, but the led's consume as good as 0 energy so that's another reason. But yea...mostly it's cosmetic.

Yup.

It still looks "meh" to me. It looks like MB was trying to take bits and pieces of different models and throw it all into one car. I'd much prefer the E63 facelift over this C63 facelift. Only thing I'm missing out on is the two-tone interior and MCT. And with the two-tone interior, only the white/black seats look delicious. The red/black looks pretty riceroni to me. Everything else, not worth "upgrading" for.

Alright, back from MB. First off, here are some new things to the C as for driving assists:
distronic pro, the blind spot thingy, lane assist and something else i can't remember.
Designo is available although it will prolong delivery by 6-8 weeks (so the car would come in late autumn...). Matte black is an option, as is matte white. A complete set of colors is gonna be available in the end of march or beginning of april.

The C63 is not going to be unveiled in Geneva in march, but in New York in April-May. Production probably begins in june.

He also confirmed that when he was in Spain last week where the C63 was presented to the reps that the MB people confirmed the hood was changed in last minute, thus no power domes earlier.

Price is going to go up slightly, although this doesn't bother me since our car tax is based on co2 values which with the MCT tranny is going to go down by 30 g/km (10 % although he said it's going to be even lower, thus better).
Hmm..what else. Right, LSD is not standard, it is an option just like earlier, and it is not included in the P31 as it used to be in the P30.

If you have any other questions post them here and i'll see if i have an answer to them. No info on the suspension.

Damn, You were at MB early this morning, but you received some good intel. I cant wait to see the track and performance differences that the MCT and newer suspension will bring.

Wouldn't say early, but sure The snow has started to smelt away so i really got to enjoy the awesome engine that we all enjoy, although in an E-class (old one). It's always a thrill, especially since i've suffered 4 months of not being able to do a proper kickdown...almost got scared when the car shot off

I wonder if the current front bumper can be fitted onto this car? I just don't like the front at all, it looks too much like a regular C. I loooooooooove the MCT, but i don't like this exterior.

Do you have experience from the MCT? And i highly doubt it can be fitted. Too many changes, such as the front lights.

I like the LED's too..

Also, other then being Green (which for the record, the process to create LED's is far more toxic then creating regular lights, so not exactly that green), vehicles have a limited about of power (Watts, not HP) available to the electrical subsystems, the more LED's you use to replace good old fashioned bulbs, the smaller the power consumption. This also means a smaller battery can be used.

On top of that LED's generally do not have to be replaced as often.. in fact, most don't ever need to be replaced (however, they do have a limited lifespan, they do not run forever, but the life of the LEDs should exceed that of the car itself).

Questions -

Will two tone interior be offered in the US?

Will two tone interior be standard or an option? Or will it be a designo feature?

Anyone have an idea of USD pricing for the 2012?

Went to the dealership late this afternoon and they have brochures and pricelist for the 2012 C Class but not for the C63 yet. Also had a long look at the new CLS sitting in the showroom. The front end looks really good even with the LEDs but the rear wrap around lights need time to sink in.

My guess is the front bumpers from either new or old will fit both platforms, with the addition of fogs/LEDs. I doubt MB wants to make new body panels for the entire "refresh", so I'm assuming the front fenders are exactly the same. So this would lead me to believe that the new headlights retain the same shape on the bottom half. It looks to me only the top of the headlights has changed, and obviously the hood as a result. So basically I think the bumpers are interchangeable, but the headlights are not without changing the hood.

I'm hoping anyway, because I think the current hood and headlights with the new bumper would maintain the aggressive look and still give it a nice refresh.
