Weistec Stage 1 Supercharger Results

After much anticipation we have been able to post our final “Stage 1” power figures. Please visit our Media link below, and browse our website for further information. All testing was done on a Dynojet 224xLC chassis dyno. The vehicle of choice (as mentioned before) was a completely stock 2011 C63, which base-lined at 362 wheel HP and 339 wheel TQ on the same exact dyno. Note our “Stage 1” package is pending CARB. (California Air Resources Board) Thanks again guys for the support. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Stage 2+ kits coming soon…

Finally.. Nice! The blower whine is awesome in the street video.

ruthless 02-13-2011 04:24 PM

Nice...could you enlighten us to any transmission modifications you did, if any were done at all?

p.s. Its 6.2L not .3 "World's First Supercharged M156 6.3L"

Even Money 02-13-2011 04:30 PM

What are you projecting for stage 2?

GHAZAN 02-13-2011 04:45 PM

Finally, great to see an update with some numbers, great work!

What Correction Factor, also what octane fuel?

Is this the same test C63 that has SLS camshafts?

Good job weistec.

avengerboater 02-13-2011 05:30 PM

Nice! Looking forward to more info! :y

Jakpro1 02-13-2011 05:31 PM

Amazing! So I could pay 47K for a used 63, then pop another 15k in and have more hp than for what I paid for my 55 used and bone stock (heh, many moons ago of course) !!!?? Must be nice!!! :X:X

You 63 guys are living the dream! Can't wait to see the numbers on the track!

Sincity 02-13-2011 05:41 PM

Wow! Usually we hear the exhaust and now it is all SC whine until the car passes by.

callmiro 02-13-2011 06:03 PM

Awesome!

140whp @ just 5 lbs with a bolt on blower that they said never could be done

Stage 2 will be killer

Can't wait to see the results on Jrcart's CLK63 Black

Thanks for the compliments RStevens63. The C63 we are using for tests is 100% factory stock. These numbers are also with stock charcoal filter and air filters. Our baseline dyno pulls and supercharged dyno pulls were all left on "uncorrected", and we are using California grade 91 octane. Thanks again.

There will be an increase in boost, fuel system upgrades, and the obvious recalibration of the ECU. Power figures will be posted soon.

great setup,any issues so far?
thank you

GHAZAN 02-13-2011 06:28 PM

Any chance you have the runfiles handy? I'd love to check them out. :y

+1
And what does stage 2 include?

black-clk500 02-13-2011 07:34 PM

probably one of the best "fly by's" I've seen on youtube, great video--not on my mod list, but cool to see nonetheless:zoom:

Would you mind posting the SAE corrected graph? Never been a fan of uncorrected dynos.

Thanks guys!

It's not just the blower that's making gains, you're forgetting about the tune vs the factory detune C63s have. We've seen tune only C63s make 420rwhp SAE on Cali 91 so realistically we're looking at 80rwhp gained. I know you can't make a direct comparison but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

As with any mod it will take years and tens of thousands of miles in the hands of many different users to validate that things in the driveline will continue to live. I agree Weistec has done a great job so far, only time will tell the rest of the story.

Stock bottom end? Can't be much of a boost increase unless C/R is dropped? No thicker head gaskets right?

Thanks for entertaining all the questions.

You guys hear that thing rip second and smoke the tires all over again...

Actually i'm not forgetting anything because we are all fully aware that this blower kit comes with a tune and the car did not have a tune before the install.

As with more recent blower kits, they come with a tune and you don't take that away from the results. The kit still made 140 WHP.

_AMG_ 02-13-2011 08:41 PM

How much?? And is there an option to get water/meth injection with these kits?

GHAZAN 02-13-2011 08:44 PM

follow the link ^^^ 15k

Sorry I guess I just took what you said literally. My bad. The kit did make 140whp over stock no question about that, but I still think vs a tune only car is a relevant guage as well--since the kit has a tune it's only fair right? Would still like to see SAE corrected graphs before and after, and I'm sure these gents used the same dyno so even better.
