Under carriage rattle
Does anyone notice a rattle/clunking as if something is loose underneath the car when going over raised bumps at normal speeds?
I get this occasionally and cant tell where its coming from. Its either underneath or from the backseat - I just cant tell.
I want to try to identify it before I bring it in.

I guess the best thing to do is just get under there and start rattling and banging on stuff to see whats loose. Other than the secondary cats, brackets and heat shields, we are just guessing.

i get it on mine as well when I'm going up the ramp in the car park. Only hear it when I have the window down. Bothered me a lot previously but getting used to it after a while. Trunk is empty.
Asked the MB service centre to check on it before, but of course, they gave me some BS answer.

For a while I thought it was stuff in my trunk (I keep some distilled water, oil, tire pump and some other stuff in a bag just in case). But I really dont think its that?
It DOES NOT happen when launching in M mode. It doesnt happen on divets in roads, but rather ONLY on raised bumps during driving.
I'll get under there and rattle some stuff around when I swap wheels but I guess IM not the only one.

Mine now rattles when I launch or go heavy on the gas pedal,it sounds like a metal shield lose or similar noise. It only makes the sound under hard acceleration and the sound always comes when you hit the gas and let go.
