Yet another spacer question...

Hey Guys,
I've searched but couldn't find a definitive answer. i am curious to know what size spacers i need (front and rear) to get my stock 18" wheels sit flush...I've seen many different suggestions but i am hoping to find a definitive answer from somebody who knows for certain.

Thanks!

Spacers are the solution of last resort.

I don't track my car so I am asking only from an aesthetic perspective.

Thanks! Do you know to what spec the lugs need to be torqued?

Also, do I need ball studs or taper studs?

Stock wheels are ball seat. Just add the same MM to the lugs to match the MM of whatever spacer you use.
I.E: If you run 10MM spacers, get new lug bolts that are 10MM longer than stock ones. Usually H&R Hubcentric Track+ spacers come with matching lug bolts.

Thanks for the info. Pardon my inexperience but to be sure, studs and lugs are two different things, right? The ball seat studs will come with the spacers and I will then need extended lugs to bolt the stock wheels back on to the car. Is this correct?

When I researched the h&r spacers it said they included studs but not extended bolts...so I want to be sure I'm ordering the right stuff.

Thank you! This is my first German car so I'm still learning. Are you running spacers on your C63?

This is all you need. The spacer with matching bolts from H&R. you dont want "adaptors" You want hubcentric spacers.

No, i have custom wheels built to spec. I did run H&R Track+ spacers on my E55 though with no issues what so ever.

Perfect. I just ordered the H&R hubcentric spacers 15mm front and 10mm rear with lugs from Vivid Racing...

Thanks for all of your help!

The wheels in your sig are the stock 18s no? Was your car dropped at the time you took that pic? They fill the wheel well so nice - I feel like our stock wheels look so small on the car...hoping the spacers help.

Are those the 847r's that Bill made for that SL a while back? The matte black centers look hot. A friend of mine has Blacked out DPE's with Chrome lips. The look is fantastic on a dark colored car.

What are you going to do to the Centers? brushed and cleared? I'll post pics of my setup this weekend, once I have it washed and cleaned.

Either brushed/tinted clear, or a light gunmetal
