Some Weistec supercharger stuff

Sorry for the anticlimax but these are not photos of installed SC but pics of everything that gets delivered by Wesitec if you order one. These are pics of what arrived at Ramspeed in Sydney last for installation on my Black Series.
The stuff in person looks completely factory with beautiful annodized billet pieces. And unlike other horror stories i have heard of they seem to have supplied every single thing required for the complete install with no hidden surprises requiring additional expense.

And here is the my BS getting the readied for the install as well as my C63 in the background getting some other stuff done:

I've been spending some time lately on the Camaro forums and more and more engines are blowing now that more miles are being put on them.

Of course, sometimes the tunes are off and the gas is bad so those are obviously highly relevant factors but with F/I if things go wrong they go wrong real fast.

I'm convinced now, forced induction on a motor that is not built for it is too risky.

At low boost risk is simply minimized.

The photos show a real nice clean product. Congrats to the owner. The twin screw looks just like a Lysholm. Just saying maybe it's a coincidence.

Hey are those the belts that break?

The belts are gatorback, so they must be tough. Probably just the idler pulley/ tensioner needs to be billet.

No

Jcart's car. FRom my understadnting Jcart's car was running 14-15psi and the stock idler pulleys cannot support this much. This is much higher level of boost than Weistec's Stage 1 or even Stage 2 system.

Dodger, just have an open mind to this product!! We are yet to see the entry level SC installed on a stock car. Within two weeks i will have such a set up on a stock BS. Not sure when i will take it to a drag strip and i know you dont care for dyno data but i will at least give it a thrashing on public roads and let members know my impressions, if anyone cars

I want this to work I have an open mind.. Id love to see someone with a smaller head have it installed and talk about it other then b/s us Aboyt every detail.. I'd be all over it if I had the cash at this point.. And give everyone some feed back, all we no about this system to date is price and it shredded belts? We need more as a group!

Awesome kit! Can't wait for the result of real runs!

DD GT3 RD 05-02-2011 02:45 AM

you plan on an 60-130 runs or 1/4 mile runs with the blower?

this would be great for the community to see, to know what the real gains are besides dyno gains.

Kaiba 05-02-2011 07:25 AM

The only thing I don't understand is why known families like Brabus , Renntech , Kleemann etc.... "failed" on this project but Weistec ( never heard of them before... ) managed to get something out.....

Even if I had the money to buy this thing , I would wait for somebody else to blow his engine :)
