tire wear uneven!

i know i need new tires i have 12,000 miles on my car i have yokohama avid envigors right now on my rears its the tires that have the highest tread wear on tirerack but my front is still pzeros. i think its a good dd tires. my rant is that my tire wear is uneven. its my 6000th mile on the tire but take a look these tires are supposed to last me more than 6000 miles and its just the rear driver side

That will happen regardless of which tire you purchase, until you get adjustable camber arms.

propain 05-20-2011 08:23 PM

Tire pressure to high maybe. Mine wear much more even than that.

6000 miles is pretty good.

If you could belive i had a cust go through a set of rears in 2500 miles!!! Light rear end + 500lb torque= fast tire wear

No.

Too much tire pressure makes the tire convex, wearing out the center.

jsc1234 05-21-2011 01:34 AM

my tire pressures good

More wear in the center and inside. Looks like you've got a bit too much camber, toe in, or both. If your car has a stock suspension have an alignment done when you get new tires.

Don't fall for "treadwear" ratings when you own a C63.

TEXC63 05-21-2011 10:38 AM

I'm seeing the same wear on mine as well.

Chemical7 05-22-2011 12:20 AM

I have 12k miles, H&R s, and have noticed no uneven wear. I do however maintain my tire pressures.

H&R springs or coil overs?

vraa 05-22-2011 04:59 AM

Torque wear.

Right.

The center of his tire is completely worn out.

Here is my Pzero with 6K miles.

This is from my 2009
https://mbworld.org/forums/3941696-post1.html

I can upload pics of my 2010 with 6K miles also. Looks exactly the same. Evenly worn out. Check out either tire pressure or for something else. because its wearing out strange to me.

Hi this is Kowalski from the w202 AMG section.
Can you tell me how much is 6K in miles?

Is it 6000 miles or 60.000 miles?
If your tire lasted 6000 miles that's a very short tire life!
Is 6000 miles x 1.6 = 9600 KM?
If yes, then it was a very short tire life!
How was your other tires worn?

I checked your attached picture of your tire and it was all bald in the centre!
Did this occur from low or high air pressure?
Thanks for your help

6,000 miles.

Quite common for the Pzero's without doing many burnouts and no smoke shows.

The tire pics I posted were evenly worn across the entire tread. No more or less wear in any spots. I purchased another C63 and within 6K miles the rear set of Pzero's were completely bald. Also evenly worn.

i have Yoko Avids and they currently have 6k miles exactly on them. they look BRAND NEW STILL! my Pzeros lasted 4K miles and looked like the OPs pics when i took them off. You are either way harder on yours or there is something wrong. im serious... mine look brand new.

thanks for your reply buddy :y
my 4 GY F1's are totally bald now!
they are not worn the same way on the rear tires??
1 tire is more worn to the centre and the other tire is more worn to the shoulder, worn 1 different way on each rear tire?
Is that a normal occasion?
B4 I had stock 17 inch.
Then I bought 18 inch Brabus but!
I never did a 4 wheel alignment after the rimswap from 17 to 18 inch!
Is it because of the missing 4 wheel alignment I got a very strange tire wear on rear tires?

Fronts are worn on outer shoulders and in the centre but this happened b-coz
of the wrong tire pressure being a bit high!
Thanx :y
