2012 C63 AMG Black Series
Hey Everyone, new to the site. I've got the 63 coupe ordered as well but I'm having a hard time with my dealer finding the options I want ( if they're available in Canada ) because of them having so few details and the way our order packages are set up. Anyone else who ordered one in Canada have this prob?
Example would be my coupe has the DP upgrade but the dealer told me that we don't get the "race start" selection option in Canada. He also didn't think we get the glass roof either
Any info from someone else who has ordered in canad would be appreciated since the US order options allow more individual option choices instead of full packages just to get one option.

Just heard from my dealer that my sedan should arrive in Baltimore on Sept. 5, with definite delivery later that month. Here's hoping others who ordered this summer will receive similar news soon!

2012 C63 Coupe P31
Race Start comes with the MCT transmission standard in all 2012s. Your dealer might be confused with Stop/Start which isnt available in Canada I believe. I also thought the panoramic roof was standard on all coupes as well, but I may be mistaken. Just my opinion but you might want to try a dealer in Canada with more information on AMG's, your current sales agent doesnt seem very knowledgeable. As well someone in this forum posted Canadian pricing for the coupes with all the options, I cant remember where it is... might be in this thread. I would try looking for it, if I find it Ill post it. That said Congrats on the purchase!

Thanks for the info. I had already looked at the price that the other member posted for Canadian pricing. I have called both the dealers in Calgary and one in Edmonton to try and get more info. None of them seem to have any full answers only half responses to my questions. I've already had to wait on my order because the DP wasn't available on the first order and if I wanted the red/black leather combo on the seats that will set me back another 4 weeks. As it stands now my order should be here the begining of November with just the black leather interior instead of the red/black combo. I do appreciate the reply to my questions

So I went to my dealer today, and the car just landed in Canada and should be in Barrie early next week. It will take them a few days to prep and inspect the car so I will probably be driving it after the long weekend. (really great since my birthday is the 4th) My sales agent was ignoring me, and telling me the car would be late because I suspect his manager wanted to show the car off for a few weeks with out telling me. However, I had other connections and found out where the car was, flexed my muscles and will have my car ASAP haha. I couldnt be more excited, and will be sure to post pictures!

I'm still having trouble picking a paint color (Silver, White or other.. Magnetite Black is cool, but too hard to keep clean in Seattle )
The configurator on the Merc-AMG site provides 360 views of the exterior now. You have to select English (not USA) in the lower left of the website to access..

I just got off the phone with my dealer, it was a case of some good news and some bad news. My build date is now 3rd decade in October which is good but he said that they are doing them as the P30 package instead of the P31. The difference is the carbon fiber wing which they say they are having issues with.
He also said MBUSA is now offering an Edition 1 in Designo Magno Night Black which is a Satin finish, not a matte. He said their allocations would be available in September so he figured a build in December which is a long wait. Luckily he's letting me keep my order and then wait and see what the build date is before deciding if I want to swap. It looks awesome on the SLS.

So my car is in California and has cleared customs. The problem is that MB set a release date of Sept 7 and it won't ship to the dealer until then. I was hoping I would get it early next week but next weekend is looking pretty good. I can only hope.

I mailed the Norcal premier shop and asked about wait times like you mentioned in the other thread, I also asked if they have wraped a Magnetite Black in a different model.

My CA just sent me the attached 2012 AMG Edition 1 information.
100 units of the Coupe and 60 Units of the Sedan being produced. Coupe (Not Sedan) includes the AMG DP package and both get the upgraded matte black multispoke wheels... interesting interior.
Has anyone priced out similar 19" wheels w/ their 2012 order? After seeing the 19's on these I think I'd like to upgrade the standard 18's w/ my order.

I wonder if it's possible to get the sedan with P31 as well...
You can order those wheels through your dealer, or it may be cheaper to get them from: (my dealer quoted me a ridiculous $ for them)
