Anyway, I purchased a set of the SLS cams and due to the differences in head, valve, and intake design they don't mix well with our engine. With additional tuning you may be able to bring the power back up close to our peak stock levels but thats it. The torque and power down low suffers greatly for some unknown reason. We have tried some different things already but will be putting the stock cams back in the car for the umpteenth time.

I just wanted to let all of you know that are in the hunt for more power to stay away from the SLS cams. Now, I know the guru's at AMG are reading this and going DUH but some of us have to learn the hard way.

If any of you have had a better experience with the SLS cams then please let me know. In fact, if any of you like to learn on your own and want a set of SLS cams I'll be glad to sell them to you at a greatly reduced price.

Good luck and be safe racing!!
being that when the sls was designed, along with the newly aggressive cams they added a newly designed air intake to bring in massive air flow and hi performance designed headers to support the cam lift duration and not to mention the car is aerodynamically designed to bring higher air flow for cooling and performance purposes, so with all that in mind if thinking to use the cams did you have stock headers and intake?

I thought the 507 ran SLS cams, wonder what else was different or if they were specific to the 507 but similar to the SLS.

The SLS head is the same on the intake side. It uses a 1mm larger exhaust valve. So there is no point.
