Coilover set that resembles the ride of a C300
My wife has been driving the C63 around and finds that the suspension is VERY stiff. Unfortunately, our cars do not have adjustable dampening.
I'm thinking about buying a full coilover kit with adjustable dampening for the car. I want to keep it on completely soft when she drives it around and stiffen it up when I'm driving it around. I won't be lowering the car at all. I'll keep it at factory height so the ride can benifit in the travel distance the suspension will have.
Now my question: for the coilover kits that are available for our cars, does any provide enough softness and cushion on the softest dampening setting that would be similar to a bubbly C300?

I doubt that, and it will destroy the C63's balance. If possible, I suggest you lease your wife something else, like a real C300 or a GLK350.

All I can say is that my new 2011 C300 sport with optional 18"/255 rides ar better than the C63. The C63 feels significantly stiffer. I think that in the long run you will be better off just getting a used 08 and newer C300 or just lease one, I think they have a promotion for $349 a month which is a deal.
The C300 seats also contribute to the comfort, they are significantly softer than the C63 so that is another one. Last but not least, the engine power delivery/noise is smoother as well, when I rev my C63 you can feel the car moving a little bit but not much on the C300.

I guess what I was trying to say is that just because something could be done, doesn't mean it should. Why stupidify the C63 to the level of a C300?

Sorry to awaken the dead but I want to lower my vehicle but I still want the same soft ride I have now with the original springs. I say soft because I have owned a P30 C 63 and I hated that dreaded hard suspension on our crappy roads. Are H&R springs as comfortable as the original C 63 standard springs?

I think my H&Rs ride a little better than my stock non-P30 suspension. My dad agrees. He hated my stock suspension. I have heard that the 2012+ cars ride a little better than the pre-FL cars but you won’t find H&Rs harsh.

I have seen springs called Vogtland on ebay for about half the price, or is it a case of you get what you pay for? They do offer a lifetime warranty but the question is are they hard or comfortable springs? I'll do a search for some reviews on them now, have you heard of them and are they harder springs?

I believe the suspension is tuned to compensate the weight differences of a regular C, Specially the rear, are definitely stiff damping.
maybe you can try KW street comfort for the regular w204.
i do believe they will fit. Bilstein uses the same pss10 for thei C class.
