Adding a subwoofer

Hi guys,

Looking for some information from someone that has added an external/additional subwoofer to a Harmon Kardon-equipped C63.

Before sump of you jump in with the "The engine should be the only music you need" type comments, I more than occasionally have to sit in traffic so a solid stereo is very important to me!

What I need to know, from people that have done this, is where they took the input signal from or what hardware is required in order to generate a signal.

Many thanks in advance,

Si

Sheps, do a search and you'll find some info. Basically you can use a line off the existing speaker in the deck, then run the cables to the battery in the trunk. Done.

You can use a hi/lo (but kind of dirty sound) of the amp or speak in the trunk. It really depends on how critical you are. If you are just wanting some loud thump, a hi/lo will work fine. If you want really crisp bass, that is not going to cut it, and you will need to look at a fiber optic pre-amp/amp
