Today's Dyno N/A and NOS
Due to the fact that I "drive" this car hard I put it on the dyno occassionally just to make sure everything is still tight and making power. I'm very surprised that after all the "abuse" this engine see's it gets on the dyno for the first time in probably close to a year and the first pull is 472rwhp and 440rwtq. Not crazy numbers but right where I thought she'd be. We are in Florida and it was 80 degrees. Stock resonators with stock exhaust, filters in, and 98 octane fuel. She's in car show form because we are doing a photo shoot this Saturday. First time I've ever hired a professional photographer. :y
After a few pulls she always picks up little by little and got 478rwhp and the same 440rwtq. Then we hit her with the 150 shot of nitrous to make sure thats still working because she hasn't seen nitrous since last winter. Nice torque line on the juice! These motors are very very very durable and like the juice!! http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/...0/78276ce4.jpg Before you ask the question, the dip in the middle is due to the intake opening and there being no air flow. Most 63 motors will see the same unless you have some big fans pushing air. Just thought I'd share. Ya'll have a good one! :D |
Awesome number, Keith. :y Can't wait for some pro shots of the widebody.

Very nice! How much do you think you're picking up over pump gas?
|

I really just posted this to let those of you that wonder what these motors will take and how they hold up can be confident that they are ROCK solid. :y Have a great weekend! |
VERY nice as always broham

Those are insane numbers Keith!

Fantastic numbers. You are right about these motors being strong between yours, JRCarts, Josh and others these can and do take some amazing amounts of abuse.
I'm surprised that hardly anyone else has attempted to use Nitrious. How are we supose to keep up with all the Civic's without it? |

Haven't needed to yet. :naughty: However, if/when jrcart or Earl or whomever gets in front of me I'll need to try it out. LOL :y |
Those numbers are AMAZING Keith, both with and without the laughing gas. Congrats!!! :y
Once of these days I want to see it run in person! |

These motors love nitrous. That 150 shot is almost dead on 150rwhp!

For this test I had the new 11" wider wheels and 315 Hoosiers on which are larger and heavier. You can manipulate the dyno with lighter wheels/tires, etc.... but I always try to use a similar set up when testing because that will tell me if theres a problem. These motors are incredible!! |
You are one crazy young man. Lol
Nice to see you still care about her Keith cant wait to see her run at the track on NOS. |
Good stuff Keith. :y
