One is at the LA show. I was in it earlier today. If you're into bikes, the Davel on display with the new ML63 was beautiful.

From what I read on AMG Private Lounge, the track pack option, which includes removal of the rear seat, does not include the rear wing and front slats. That is what they call an "Aero Package" for even more money.
Aero Pack - Rear wing, front winglets, requires rear seat delete. You can get the track pack with rear seats. |

They didn't "Just" change the tires. It sounds a bit more involved than that.
and you really shouldn't add more front downforce without adding more rear downforce. My guess it that rear wing is needed to actually generate additional grip with the front splitter and flics. AMG doesn't seem like a compy to me that would stick a big wing on for the fun of it, it has a purpose. If you don't like it just get the car without the aero package. Or are you only buying for looks?

No thanks!!!!. I rather buy a C63 coupe, put my own rims, have it tune(less than $2000), change the tires to something sticky(whenever they wear out), put a suspension kit for $2000, put a rear LSD for less than $2000, and have 99% achieved with $65,000 in the bank.
We are going to break a lots of hearts at the tracks and roads courses. I can see anyone owning a regular C63(sedan or coupe) with a mere $$6,000-10,000 in basic mods just fishtailing these Black series. The black series is a beautiful car, it has the nice mods but the wrong price tag. My .2c

This. I've driven C63s with lots of suspension work, and none comes close to the handling, or grip level, of a BS. And that's a 4 year old CLK63 BS.
The $ gap isn't as big as you make it out to be comparing a base C63 vs fully loaded C63 BS. |
I wish the rear difusser was more stepped and layered lower with slit vents into the underneath of the car like the 2008 CLK63 black...

Wonder what the front spoiler lip is made out of and will it fit a regular C63.

Dave, did you end up getting any laps in the BS, if so, knowing that you have driven an SLS many times on a track, how does it compare, power to weight ratio, acceleration and most importantly the sound. Thanks.

I loooove that kind of review :) "this Mercedes feels more like a Porsche 911 GT3 RS than almost any other road-legal performance car this tester can think of" |

Then why would people buy the SLS? People who already have SLS AMG's would be pissed. The SLS is MB's flagship. They're not going to step on it's toes.
"The Cayman is Porsche's Duke of Windsor, waiting its entire life for King 911 to die or abdicate." Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...#ixzz1e00pH61m Its the same reason why the standard C63 does not have the full power of an E63/CLK63/SL63/CL63/S63. They will not allow a "base model" such the C63 surpass higher-end and more expensive models. Same goes for the C63BS vs SLS. |
I really want one and I am on the lis for 2 dealers but i heard MB is only selling like 90 a year and my chances of getting one is slim.
Does anyone know a dealer that can sell me one at msrp?? |
Seems like a hot car and significantly better than the stock C63, but it will face stiff competition if the price is closer to $135K, and I still prefer the look of the sedan better. As far as the big rear wing, I don't like the look either, but I wouldn't mess with changing it since aerodynamics are really important at higher speeds.

The BS looks really good. Yes, the wing is a bit OTT, but needed for track work.
That Diavel looks pretty damn good too! :y |
How can you be in a list in the U.S.A. (DiamondC63Coupe)They don't have the black series on their computers or any kind of equipment list. I was told from a dealer, as soon as they hear something they'll call me . The owner of the Mercedes dealership told me if I order it, he can get it? Car and Driver had a quote that they were all sold out? I wish I can get a straight answer.Anyone with opionions?
