CampioniShop: Akrapovic Evolution & Slip On system

There are many exhaust manufacturers in this world, and then there is the highest quality exhaust manufacturer in the world. This is a thread about the latter.

We are proud to carry Akrapovic's full line of automotive exhaust systems, they have, by far, the highest level of craftmanship we have ever encountered and is a perfect fit for any demanding AMG owner!

Two variations of systems are available for the C 63 AMG. They are made entirely from our proprietary titanium* alloy. The first is our Slip-On muffler system. The Slip-On kit replaces the stock mufflers from the axle back. Stepping up to our Evolution system, we include the mufflers from the Slip-On kit and then add a lightweight link pipe assembly that incorporates integrated resonators. Both systems feature our unique exhaust tips. The bezels for these tips are cast in our foundry from an exclusive blend of titanium. They will give your vehicle a distinctive look, setting it apart from the rest of the crowd.

Akrapovič titanium exhausts are not just about appearances. Sound, weight, and performance are all part of the equation as well. The Evolution system produces a 12-horsepower gain and reduces weight by an incredible 19 kg! Soundwise, both systems bring out the true character of the car. Deeper and more aggressive than stock, they retain the trademark personality of the 6.3-liter AMG engine. The Evolution system is notably louder than the Slip-On, but is still perfectly suitable for day-to-day driving.

There was a slight price increase on these - the above prices are no longer valid.

do you have any information on why they chose to go straight pipe all the way?

Akrapovic did not specify - from our own experience there is additional power to be gained from an X pipe over the straight pipes on the C63AMG and makes for a better - smoother tone as well.

That sounds awful, they destroid the exotic sound of the AMG C63, my opinion of course.

I would actually tend to agree, they should have added an X-pipe to balance the exhaust gases and retain the stock rumble!
