Instructions for Race Start Mode

Hey, do any of you guys have any step by step instuctions for race start mode in a 2012 c63 sedan?

Press the brake all the way down. Put the car in S+. Turn the traction into SPORT. Switch the knob to RS. Press the Right Paddle to confirm. While your foot is on the brake, Press down on the gas. Release the Brake and hold on!

And when you put foot on gas, put it all the way on it, and don't lift at all...if you do, it cancels RS

I'm still in my break-in period and cannot wait to play with this feature ... but honestly speaking, when do you folks use it? Striaghtaways? When there's a hot chick (or dood) at the stop light next to you? When you have a hot chick (or dood) in your passenger seat?

And finally, at what point do i let off the gas once I'm off the line?

Why would you let off the gas if you are using racestart??

When you want to slow down?

Straight line would be ideal! Ive done it off the light and just on open roads. With friends or girls in the passenger seat (most girls scream! lol) as well as beside some riced out cars. I still find at times I can launch the car better, I mostly do it for the revs, it tends to make the other drivers around nervous with the noise. I have used it quite a bit, and with my winters going on I had a chance to see my rears after 7500kms... the center tread was pretty much bald! New tires in the spring!

Have you found if you leave your foot on the gas too long it cancels? It happened to me once I haven't let it get to that point again.

Thanks guys, I tried it in the dealers c63 :p: it was wicked, but it was snowing so ground was wet and slippery. Does using this void the warranty like in Porsche (sorry I'm mentioning them in here) when you use launch control it voids the warranty. I'm trying to choose between c63 or gt3 rs 4.0

Makes perfect sense! Both cars are not only in the same performance category, but also in the same price bracket ... and a GT3 RS 4.0 is only available in a 6 speed manual, not with PDK.

I don't think they are in the same performance category.... the GT3 RS 4.0 is basically a race car for the street and track.

Also the GT3 RS 4.0 is double the price of our C63s.

If I had to choose.... GT3 all the way!!!

I think he was a bit ironical on this one ;-)

But if i got to choose and money isn't a problem, I would go with the p-car for sure!!!

Yes the Rs is a six speed and I know it different in alot of ways, but I'm looking at the c63 because with the money I have to pay for the rs I could buy 2 3/4 of a c63 so that why we are looking at that. What do you guys think for c63, coupe or sedan. I like the look of the sedan but what do you think?

You sure do ask a lot of silly questions don't you?
If you truly have/had the money for a GT3 RS then you wouldn't be asking such a question. It's a no-brainer.

Silly is responding like an ahole to a 4yr old thread

Yes he does, has the money to buy RS 4.0 but thinks C63 is equivalent? Probably a phantom, an alien lifeform or from another multiverse visiting to gather data, or the past.
