C63 Coupe Supercharged by Väth (670 bhp / 620 lb-ft tq)

Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe Turned V63 Supercharged by Väth

Expensive and seems like it should be faster, but nice stats nonetheless!

"Väth Automobiltechnik from Hoesbach, Germany has created the V63 Supercharged, based on the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe. The end result is an inconspicuous beast of a car that puts out 680 PS (670 bhp / 500 kW), 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque for a mere EUR 64,308 over the base cost of the C63 AMG Coupe. The standard Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe puts out 487 PS (358 kW / 480 hp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, meaning the update gives you an extra 197PS and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft). A sprint from 0-100 km/h will only take you 4.0 seconds and top speeds end at 335 km/h (208 mph). Such high speeds are achieved thanks to a water cooled supercharger, revised engine management, oil coolers on the engine and trans plus high-flow catalytic converters, new headers and stainless steel exhaust.

To improve aerodynamics, the V63 Supercharged Väth has a front spoiler and rear diffuser with enlarged fins that are both crafted in visible carbon fiber. Quarter panel wheel well extensions allow widening the track by 80mm and a boot lid spoiler completes the exterior package.

VÄTH’s three-spoke 9×20 inch forged rims with 255/30-20 tires ride on the front of the V63 and 11×20 inch rims with 295/25-20 tires are at the rear. The C63 AMG Coupe has a coilover suspension allowing a 20-65 mm drop in ride height while stiffness is also adjustable.

On the inside, there’s a leather upholstered sports steering wheel, a 360 km/h speedometer dial and carbon trimmed interior."

Great power but this car must be hard to launch and drive. There is a power thredshold in which once your pass it you roll into a traction nightmare. The C63 is already hurt by the poor choice of tires and lack of flared wheel weels.

The power delivery is another aspect to consider. Too much power and torque too soon is not that good if you don't have the proper traction. If the C63 was a AWD car it would be the other way around..

Trust me there is no trouble with power delivery with a supercharged C63. It actually has better traction on 275 rears than my supercharged CLK63 BS has on 305s. Perhaps because of the weight distribution I don't know.
