2012 C63 with P31 Package - 9.72 60-130 STOCK
Having gone 3.6 seconds 60-130 in my UGR TT Lambo...I know what fast is. This STOCK C63 I just picked up a few weeks ago feels pretty fast for a daily and I was VERY curious what she would do 60-130. I took her out tonight, she is a P31 car, BONE STOCK with NO mods. Had about 1/2 tank of gas and a 100 lb. passenger. Thought I would share the results...
60-130 in 9.72s, I was very impressed! http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a35...ock60to130.jpg And the car itself: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a35...G/94905316.jpg |
Nice!
Did the guys at MT or C/D do that in about 1 sec. faster? |
what device do you use to measure the acceleration/speed/time? The new coupes with P31 are stupid fast!!
|
Great results for stock p31.
Now if u lose the pass and have less then 1/4 of gas and shift 1time u should get better time. |
Great time!! Keep at it you can do better. :naughty:
|
Great job!!
Plans for the "C"? :-) 100# passenger?? Let's see, either a very nice light girlfriend, wife, or child? :-) Be safe. Keith |
The wife was not happy about the whole "look here here honey, my vbox is in the car, maybe I should do a quick 60-130." :)
I used a vbox....at this point, I have no plans for modding this car as the "fun car" has plenty of power to keep my appetite for power in check. Having said that, you NEVER know! I'm shocked at how fast this car was 60-130...my ISF did 12.2's stock and my M3 did 11.9's stock. For this car to be that much faster is very impressive. I highly doubt MT or CD did any better as I think a 9.7 is pretty darn good for a factory sedan...Has anyone done better than 9.72 in a bone stock C63? Peter |
nice!
|
Thats very quick
|
What years were the ISF and M3?
|
I had an 08 ISF, 09 ISF and an 11 M3.
Peter |
2.5 seconds is a big difference for only a 60 hp difference. But we do have a huge torque advantage.

Peter I had an 08 Viper on spray and said the same thing two years ago. The C63 was my DD and I had NO intentions of modding it. Now look at it. LOL  Welcome to the club because my money is on the fact that you can't leave it alone. :D This car is addicting. :y Keith |
How much of a difference is there between the p31 tune and the OE tune? Reason I ask, I thought someone did a comparison recently and they were nearly identical. And these guys who post every other day about their tune only times are cutting high 8 times, is 9.72 really that good? I'm not being negative, just trying to understand.
|
I'm not sure how much whp a 2012 P31 car makes. I will dyno her at TX2K12 to find out. Has any bone stock car run quicker than a 9.72?
Peter |
Maybe not but P31 is not bone stock in the strictest sense.
|
I think 99.9% of ppl would agree with my definition of bone stock...car as the way it came from the factory with no modifications.

I just did 10.6 with headers/tune. Full gas, weight and started in 4th at around 55mph. First run ever.
