I have not looked closely recently, and I forget easily, but I believe the fronts are drilled and ventilated, the rears are drilled and slotted.. will see if I can find a picture..

Just a heads up, reviews for parts.com seem pretty poor for the most part:
http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Parts
If anyone has done business with them in the past or, better yet, gotten said cheap rotors from them recently, please chime in. I need new rotors pretty soon too but will most likely stay away based on all the negative reviews.

I can live with less than stellar service. Some of the complaints stem from getting the WRONG parts in addition to getting raped on shipping. I can't be bothered having to deal with potentially getting the wrong parts and then having to deal with getting the run-around since their after sales service is probably going to be equally **** poor.

That site is run by Mercedes Benz of Annapolis (my dealer oddly enough). They will ship wherever, and the price of the rotors is the same as the parts.com site. And they will not likely screw up your order.
I have yet to actually order anything online from them though (I drive to the parts dep)

This has to be a supply and demand issue. The oem one piece fronts used to be about $500 from the online discount sites while the 2 piece went for $800. Obviously there must be a serious over production issue and I would bet the price will rise sharply once it is corrected. Many of us went to aftermarket 2 piece for the 12 pound per corner weight savings but these are a great deal and I may grab a pair for daily use and save the 2 piece for the track.

I would have to imagine you can find a 1 pc rotor for your E63 for DD use. Try these guys: brakeperformance.com When I did the C32 brakes on my C320 I got the rotors from them and they work just fine.

Got them online

I'm also in need of new rotors soon. Does anyone know a good place to grab them? https://www.getmercedesparts.com only lists the front and the dealership is asking for a kidney.

My friend who works at my local MB dealership parts department just gave me a quote for 1pc front & rear rotors w/pads = 1096$can for all corners + tax for parts only.. He said if we need new bolts & sensors, it's 1850$can & add labour on top of that.. So this brake job could be well around 3000$ at the stealership.. So don't get fool by the price of parts. (unless u get them installed elsewhere)

"Any chance these 1 piece brakes will fit as a replacement for the 2 piece brakes on the W211 E63? Wouldn't mind using these cheap 1 piece units for DD use... "
Anyone have a definitive answer to this question? I would love to not spend $1800 on front rotors for daily driving.

OK, guys. I'm ready to replace rotors. We're sure the solids will replace the 2 piece fronts ? And the solid rears are all the same? Centrics are showing some low prices on these rotors. I (like some) am not afraid of low price rotors. Like someone said it's not rocket science just NC lathe production.
Have used "chinese" rotors on other cars for years, no problems.

If you have the P30 package (based on your sig) and want two piece fronts, check out Racing Brake for an upgrade. They are $$, but the OEM ones are also $800+ each. Both are about 9 lbs lighter each than the solid ones.

Thanks for the info guys. I did get a set of front RB ET500 pads from Racing Brake last June to encounter the wearing off of the OEM pads. It now needs to be replaced.
The only other issue that I have now is with my rotors - there seem to be little hairline cracks originating from the drilled holes of the rotors and it looks to be end of its life.
Question now is to either get OEM P30 replacements at a reasonable pricing or get a set of Racing Brakes' two piece rotor? Pricing isn't too far off though for the RB 2 pc rotor which is much lighter than the OEM P30 replacements.
Hrmm.. decisions?!
