How Many C63 Black Series Shipping to U.S.
 

Does anyone know the estimated number of Black Series reaching the U.S.? I heard 97 (from AMG Private Lounge) and Car & Driver says under 100 (http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...e-black-series).

~70 for the US, ~30 for Canada, give or take a few. 97 is probably the North American total number.

This is the exact question I posed to an AMG representative last week. He said that MB cannot officially comment on production numbers. A bit silly really.

In any event, I will seek this information again from anyone who looks like a MB official at the AMG preview night this Thursday for the NYC Auto Show.

My VIN says 065 at the end so I'm assuming its the 65th one.

Will they continue to make the Black series after 2012? Or will it be like the CLK Black, just 2008?

This is the only production run for this car 2012

If it's anything like the CLK Black, VIN's are all over the map. My last 3 digits is in the 500's, there's definately not 500+ cars coming to North America.

You're probably right. My VIN ends in the 300's.

I bet it will be difficult to fall asleep tonight when you are flushed with anticipation about picking her up tomorrow. I suggest you close you eyes and count M3's as they are passed on your drive home.

Nexlogic...75 is the confirmed number of C63 BS coupes coming into the US market. There are no plans in bringing in any more than the ones that are on the way.

I think it is 30 for Oz.

Just to confuse things even more - I've heard chatter that was attributed to AMG people to the effect of multiple-year production run, etc.

Had a chat with my sources after reading about this, and there will be a 2013 C63 Black Series. It's the very limited Ducati edition, which is already sold out.

any news on that ducati edition, production numbers, price, what might be special etc, i would love to pick one up, as i heard it might have matte white paint and carbon brakes but would love a conformation of that.

Ive been told 26, by MBUSA. . . but that was in dec.

little update for u guys who care to know.

got the full list of US cars. counted 75 cars total. last batch arriving 5/30. 35 cars ordered with Aero Package with few ****ed-up exceptions, meaning Aero Pack without the Exterior Carbon.

Anyways, I have always said that there seems to be a lot more C63's here in Canada than in the States based on sighting reports. That would seem to be continuing with the BS also. Up here in the frozen tundra we represent around 10% of the NA population, yet we get a quarter of the cars. :zoom:

I heard the total production numbers worldwide are 500 units - the same number of CLK BS made. Yet they are bringing substantially less to the US. Total CLK BS to come to the US was 367. Guess they realized there wasn't that much demand here and more worldwide ?

Of the 6 Mars Red cars, how many have NO REAR SEATS AND NO AERO PACKAGE? I was told my red car is the only one so equipped in the US.

That's not really messed up. It's the Aero pack cars that didn't get the track pack (diff cooler). That makes no sense.

On the bright side, based on our window stickers, I don't believe the track pack's diff cooler was installed in Germany, rather, installed at the VPC once it cleared customs. Which means anyone who didn't order the B25 track pack should be able to have the diff cooler retrofitted.

Originally, Canada was only supposed to get 10 cars (like the SL65 black series), but MB Canada was able to convince HQ to give us 20 more cars around Sept 2011. Speaking with a couple of AMG folks, the reasoning is that Canada is AMG's biggest market per capita by a huge margin, and as such, we were rewarded more cars for the C63 BS.
