EVOMSit tune anyone?

Hey guys,

I will be picking up my 2012 C63 AMG this weekend and I'm looking into tunes. My local shop (in Charlotte, NC) deals with Kleeman, Renntech and EVOMSit. The Kleeman and Renntech tunes require the ECU to be sent out which puts the car out of commission for 3 days. The EVOMSit tune can be done in house - it usually runs $1950 but the guy told me they could do it for $1700 installed.

Doing a quick search of this forum only led to 2 threads in the C63 forum from 2010. Does anyone have any experience with this company or tune for the C63?

I live in up north of them. I called them since I know someone with a tuned porsche by them. They never returned my call back.... Ended up going with kleeman since it was cheaper. Its really easy to take the ECU out and ship it yourself, its really easy. IMO my impression of them is they focus mainly on porsche, but they do dam good work with them.

Ive heard of very few people have the EVOMS tune on the C63. Cant say much about them other then the fact that they are a big name in the Porsche tuning market.

Not to take anything away from EvoMS but I would just stick with the tried and true benz tuners (if that option is available.). EvoMS is definitely good, but they are good with Porsches. Like I said, no to take anything away from them. I'm sure their tune may be good, but I would stick to the people that have been doing it a lil longer ;)

Just my humble 2 cents...:D
