2012 Radio Removal Help
I'm trying to install a video in motion unit.
Any help with the radio removal will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance!
Once that is out you loosen the 2 silver torx screws about half way (they are long)
then push the tabs the screws are attached to down (this will release the head unit)
Pull out and viola! Install the VIM unit as per their provided instructions

I have CF trim and don't want to scratch it up.
Start at the glove box side pry it up till it all pops off towards the steering wheel.
The trim and vents are one piece.
Why the heck couldn't I have found this video when I did it?!
This should help you guys A LOT.
I had to figure it out on my own.
Thanks man.. Will be ordering vim soon!

There are actually no laws that cover disabling device input (monitors for entertainment purposes are a different story) in vehicles, people commonly blame NHTSA for it, but they only suggest it as a guideline, not a requirement. It is more a gentlemens agreement between the manufacturers, which is why most disable input in motion in the US. I'm not sure about elsewhere, but when I was in SA in 2009, I had no problems messing with the vehicle GPS while in motion (a relatives car, rentals still disable via custom firmware)
Easy as pie
I am trying to remove the radio and I have followed all instructions and it just doesnt work.
I removed the trim. Unscrewed the screws half way, pushed down, but the radio doesnt come out. Any help would be appreciated because I have to have this removed by Sunday the 23rd at night at the latest. Thanks.
