Which Tyres
Hi Everyone,
New to the forum. I have had my C63 amg coupe for a little bit now and I must admit i was bit unsure once i placed the order as my previous RS4 avant was big boots to fill but the c63 does the job and more
Anyways what i was wondering is what is the popular brand of tyre people are fitting on there cars and also i would like to up to 275/30/19 (currently on the standard 255/30/19 tyres) would this be possible and also without changing the front tyres as well. I have the optional 19" AMG multi-spoke wheels in black
Thanks in advance.

Welcome and congrats on the C63. Nice to hear that you are loving it.
What you want to do is certainly possible and has been done done by lots of folks around here. Michelin PSS and Hankook V12 are two possible choices of popular tires. Michelin being the premier pick and Hankook a strong competitor at a more reasonable price point.

i actually just posted this in a separate thread, but i guess it's now my understanding that you can actually use wider tires on the stock rims? for example, i currently have 255/35/18 on my oem 18's, but i can safely go up to 275/35/18? can someone confirm that for me?

I switched from an RS4 to C63 Coupe too. Good to hear you are enjoying it as much as I am. You in the North East also?
Mine had Yokohamas fitted which are expensive. Puncture after 2 months and £159 to replace. I will probably look at the Vredesten Ultrac Vorti when i get a new set or GoodYear Asyms as they were brilliant on the RS where I ran 275s there also.
Cheers

Ah, remember youj now Jim. Going good thanks. Loving the C63. Totally different car to the RS4. I've kept my winter Vreds off the RS for the rears as will definately need them up here. We should try and turn up at the next local RS meet to show them off. Cheers Al

I'm running 265/30/19 for the rear tyres. Seems the current consensus is Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the ones setting the benchmark atm.
