Need Help Identifying Front Sensor

Can you tell me what the sensor, shown in the image below, is for?



        I was thinking of mounting the license plate on this side. The license plate will block this sensor when the license plate is displayed (while driving).

        Yup, that is the sensor for the outdoor temperature that is displayed on the dash. I am not sure if covering it up would cause inaccurate readings

        I used a hair dryer on it and you were right. It is definitely the outside temperature sensor.

        Thanks much for your confirmation.

        Iʻm mounting my license plate so that the plate can be easily hidden. Iʻll be able to see if the plate affects the readings.

        Iʻll probably post some photos after it is finished.

        the sensor is the outside temp sensor and its not effecting enything if you cover this at all
