Deciding on coupe wheels. HRE, Vorsteiner, Rennen, Arkym...?
Any input would be appreciated.
I'm looking at the following wheels. Anyone have any idea which is the lighter, higher quality wheel? 19's with PSS's is what I have in mind. Here's the car. http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/...3/IMG_2960.jpg HRE P40SC http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/...3/HREP40SC.png Rennen M7 http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/...3/RennenM7.png Vorsteiner VS-110 http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/...inerVS-110.jpg Arkym J12 (by HRE) http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/...3/Arkymj12.jpg Which is the best? Any other hot wheels I'm forgetting? :nix: |
I like all of them except the rennen. I really liked the vorsteiner...they were just slightly out of my price range i wanted to spend on wheels, but I would think they look sick on the car. arkym looks really similar, its made by hre and the price was crazy...i think dctm is trying to offer a deal though since theres no c63 with them yet.
I would also consider adv10 ts or adv5.0 (which is just ordered). those are beautiful wheels. |
+1 for Vorsteiner. Those wheels are beautiful! but there are pretty pricey as natman316 stated.

HRE :y
|
I like arkym's style the most and it's made by Hre? Then it's the clear winner.
|
Rotiform has one similiar to the akrym. So does vorsrt
|
vorsteiner or arkym forsure
|
I'm kinda in the same position. Definately HRE's but toying over P43SC or P44SC in 19".
|
I'd either go with the HRE or the Vorsteiner wheel both great quality, you may save some weight going with the HRE P40SC series in this build. Either wheel will look great. Let me know if you need any more info or would like pricing on any of these packages.

I've recently put on black volk g25s on my white coupe. Looks good, I post a pic up shortly
|
hre or vosrsteiner just not rennen
|
Id stick with form AND function (HRE).
|
P40SC in 20x9 at 21.4 lbs and 20x11 weighed in at 22.4 lbs. Those are very good wheel weights for those sizes.
The P44SC seem to be tad lighter than the P40SC. http://cdn.hrewheels.com/wp-content/...humb-P44SC.png Here's a larger more detailed shot of the Arkym J12. It's a beautiful design feature detailed side cuts. http://arkym.com/i/arkym_j12_large.jpg If you got any questions, feel free to contact me at LonM@hrewheels.com |
HRE/Arkym for the concave look, or Vorsteiner if you want fewer spokes. Depends on the look you're trying to achieve. I like the darker, pewter looking finish of the Rennen for your car, but anyone can do a color like that.

can't go wrong with HRE....:y:y
|
HRE - you'll never look back.

HRE P40SC if you can afford it. I settled for the P40, and I'm very happy about it.

The P40 SC is a Super Concave & lightweight version of the P40. U can see they shaved the inside of the spokes to save weight, my P40 don't have the "groove" in the spokes, plain solid.

I vote Arkym! Looks menacing, and I don't remember seeing it on a C63 yet.
|
So, the Rennen's are out. Although the finish is close to what I had in mind.
I'm still torn between the rest. Also, I think 20's look better on the car. Has anyone tried out both 19's and 20's on their car? Is there a significant difference in ride quality between them? I don't want to feel every pebble in the road, but if there isn't a big difference I'm thinking of rollin' 20's. Preemptive gratitude. |
Our cars do look better with 20's... BUT our cars are not made to ride on 20's cuz of the thin sidewalls. So if you go 20's, watch for potholes cuz you might bend a wheel easily.
