20K service for my '09 C63

Its that time! Dealership charges a bunch, would I void my warranty (extended CPO) choosing an Indy shop? Any suggestions in Houston if applicable? Certainly dont want to risk loosing coverage, not for any savings I can make by going indy.
Thanks!
Erik

I don't think the dealership can void your warranty if you have proof that the service was done using the same material the dealership uses. Should an issue arise, such as the head bolt, and you haven't always been doing your services at the dealership, don't expect them to go to bat for you against mercedes to help get your problem fixed.

US law says that a warranty cannot be voided simply because you didn't have the service done at the dealer. I don't remember the specifics, but I would keep all the receipts.

Dealer quoted $540.00, is this the going rate?

This includes oil, oil filter, brake fluid flush, dust filter, tire rotation and a few other minor check ups.
I could consider going to an indy if the saving are attractive enough.
Any suggestions as to what indy shops may charge ?
Any Indy shops recommended in Houston ? I live in the city.

Thanks
E

True...but the indy must do each and everything specified in
20K service including all the inspection items.

sorry for the bump but i'm due for service soon. i'm decent at working on cars, and service A is pretty much an oil change. if i DIY, would they be able to deny warranty? 250 for an oil change is ridic

I don't think so but keep your receipts for oil, filter and other product and keep a record of what you did and when you did it. Use MB approved product for all fluids and parts. The only downside I have heard of is Merc63 was not allowed to buy a MB Extended Warranty because he did his own service.
