There is some clips under this piece just remove them and it will come out

there is also clips behind the lower front grill though...I think I have to remove the bumper? unless there is a way to remove the lower grill without taking off the bumper

Your best bet is to remove the bumper i think.

trying to avoid that haha...i wonder if i could jack the car up and just remove the skid plate? probably be like removing the lower grill

This is what you are looking at removing on the inside (red arrows) to get the front lip out. There are some kind of push pins like in the wheels well.
Even with the skid plate removed and the car on jack stands I'm not sure there will be enough space for you to work between the radiator/oil cooler etc...

I installed my lip without removing the bumper...

Just need to get under the car and pop those clips from up and behind the grill....

It's a tight squeeze but it can be 100% done.

Took me 30 mins.

Putting the 2 inside closer to the center clips back in after the install is a pain though.

How do we remove the skid plate? Just the 4 bolts?

i think there are more than 4 bolts. Probably 8 of them.

I didn't remove anything to remove the front lip cover.

I just did everything from underneath with the cars front up on jackstands.
