anyone running forgestars please help me out
hey everyone, i recently put forgestar CF5's on my c63, the wheels look amazing and i love them.
just a quick question, since i live in the nyc area, i get a little worried driving the car. i do my best to avoid potholes and so far i havent hit any, but theres always a few bumps here and there on the highway which scare me when i go over them and i find myself sweating when i get out of the car lol. there isnt too much tire so its pretty much all rim which is what worries me. the car is not my DD so i can drive it when i can and i can choose which roads to take, but still theres not really any smooth surfaces here in nyc.
my question is, just how strong are forgestar wheels? any feedback would make me feel a lot better

Forgestar are flow-form forged I believe.. Not as strong as monoblock forged wheels, but much better than cast wheels.
U should be fine.. What size wheels & tires are u running? Are they stretched tires?

Long time no talk Steve! How have you been? I am running 3-piece HRE's with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 in the warmer months. You are fine with the wheels and tires. Just becareful in the spring, when there are potholes all over. You should definitely drive a little slower with the 19's than with the OEM 18's just to be on the safe side.

I'm my opinion this tread is worthless without pictures
Steve you should be fine, unfortunately the right pot hole in NYC would damage batman's batmobile.
But in all seriousness, I'm glad you finally got the wheels that you have been looking for. Please post some pictures when your available.
Have a great weekend everyone.

You should be fine hitting a couple potholes. I lived in DC for a while with my C63, and even though I killed a tire once, the F14 was fine.

Definitely watch the rear... 265 is stretched on 19x10 ... no rims protection at all, I would be more worry about curb rashes than bent rims. LOL

I ran this exact setup on my C63 and must say that I was impressed with the overall strength and performance of my F14s. I hit a bunch of bad potholes and was pleasantly surprised to see zero bends - a little curbing and slighting peeling of the clearcoat, however.

Callmiro, ur set up look aggressive.. Were u rubbing on bumps, dips or with passengers in the rear?
