I know....but I seen this gas tank done for a motorcycle , it looks pretty cool....faster way to a airbrush look to any design

Faster doesn't mean better :)
No flame intended, but you being a photographer should know that there is a big difference between what you see on the monitor and what in real life.
Airbrush done by the right people is a work of art. The same with carbon fibre.
Hydro-dipped parts look cheap and I don't think any car enthusiast would enjoy their appearance after seeing the "real deal" (air brush or real CF).

Here is an example of carbon fibre:

yes....but the way I see it is like photoshop.....I was comparing air brush to the hydro dip because the pattern is made from computer graphics....its like when I started with film in 1983, we had to sculpe lighting, dodge and burn in dark room.......then computers and photoshop came out and ruined the artistry of film industry

I've seen this GL550 in person with a hydro dipped interior in white carbon finish:

Really not a fan of it at all. There's absolutely no depth in the finish and simply looks really cheap/ like a sticker. Going with hydro dipping is akin to doing 3M dinoc vinyl wrap. They both lack depth, you can easily tell it's fake carbon, and is simply not up to the standards of the real deal. If you're considering hydro dip- then you should also consider 3M as it'll be much easier to do and net the same results.

If you want a carbon fiber finish, then spring for the real deal.
