Just had an Accident v.Sad C63
So about 3 hours ago, as I was heading straight down a four lane road, an 83 year old man made his left turn right in front of me. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to avoid it :/
I'm just thankful no one was hurt!
Anyone have thoughts of totaled vs. repairable?
UPDATE: 2/24/2013
Here's the damage:
The scene, and car that hit me:

Write off.
When they make you an offer for pay out, ask them how much to keep the wreck.
If the engine and tranny are still good and you have performance package, you will make $$.
Where are you located?

damn, I know the feeling. same this happened to me with my first m3...I had to fight with State Farm to get the car deemed totaled vs repairable. I believe they said something like 70-80% of the car needed to have damage to to be "unrepairable," and believe they tried very hard to get he car fixed. SF never ended up telling me the damage %, but the body shop determined the engine was pushed through the firewall, so the car was totaled. based on the mileage/options etc, I ended up making a couple $$'s on it.
good luck.
good luck.

Glad you are okay.
We like these cars for their performance. The fact that you were okay after such a collision is another aspect of these cars' performance that we pay for, and hope to never have to experience.

Glad you're OK.....I wish you all the best in restoring your life and your "transport" to their "pre accident" situation, as soon as possible.
Cheers, Pickles.

I would definitely agree with a total loss. Yours looks a lot worse than my first C63 when it was totalled.
