Benz Quoted 10K for brakes 13K for "Major Service"??
So just got back from Mercedes. Since i've had my Car for more than 2 years even though i'm only at 28'000km's on the car. They said my brakes are out of warranty and it would be 3700 for front 6200 for rear Plus labour and another 1000 because this is a "Major Service" whatever that means. I told them to go ahead with the service since its a lease i don't have a choice. But the brakes must be less online somewhere? Some advice guys ... Please

@karkid... is this corporate mb dealer?
their prices are much higher than even franchise mb dealers... which are higher still than the indies that spec on mb. with the cost so high, i suggest you shop around.

Yeah its Corporate. the Dealership on Jane/HWY7 behind wonderland. Am i allowed to go elsewhere with my LEASE though?

That's ridiculous, major service? Meaning service B, which should be around $600.
As for the brakes, do you have the P31 pp?(red brakes). If so parts alone would be about $3700 from the dealer, if no P31, then probably around $1700 + labor.
Here's a pic of a parts quote I got when my sister inlaw worked at a dealer here in Montreal, you can see list price & employee price, which is what the total represents.

your sister inlaw not there anymore? too bad, wouldve liked an inside gal lolz@karkid, you can def go elsewhere. trust me on this as I have personally used like 4-5 different MB dealers to service my vehicles...due to me traveling and staying in different parts of ontario.
And not all MB dealers are the same... in terms of prices like i mentioned. call around and get quotes. PM me if you want some contacts... i have a few sources that might be able to get you a better price.

what's the main difference between the rotors from the p31 package and the non p31 package? i have to change my brakes soon, but don't have p31. would i still be able to buy those rotors and install them?
