C63 Chicago Spotting Thread
 

I have noticed that there are more and more C63's in Chicago. I have spotted a couple and would like to see if you guys are on the forums.

One specifically lives across from me right by the Binny's Beverage depot on Grand and Wells, the building above Sushi Samba. Its black 09-11, you have winter and summer wheels.(Ill post pics below)

I saw a white coupe this morning in front of the East Bank Club, I gave you a thumbs up as you let me cross the street in front of you :y

A month ago I saw a matte black coupe on Halsted and Randolph.

A black sedan parked on Franklin across from the doughnut vault (It was debadged but still had AMG on the back:nix:)

A White Sedan parked on Clinton and Lake up the street from New Line Tavern.


I went from never seeing a C63 to seeing all of these within a month or so, and I am one of those people who pay attention to every single car that passes by. It nice to see AMG representing on the streets of Chicago :y

Did you used to live in the Naperville area?

I have seen a total of 5 C63 in, and around, the Chicago area in the last year. I actually had a guy pull up behind me in the service bay at the Naperville Mercedes yesterday.

I see a couple in the burbs, but not many. Silver, 2 black. I don't know how you guys can drive downtown with all the uneven roads and potholes. I have tried and the suspension kills me.

I am at Trump Tower and someone there owns a cherry black '09, among all the other amazing cars you see in the parking garage...

I used to live next door at 405 N Wabash and I just recently moved from Michigan and Grand out to Naperville.

I only drove my car on the weekends, but yea, the streets are horrible. Especially down Halsted.

I lived more Addison/Schaumburg area, I am with you I rarely saw c63 living in the suburbs just occasionally driving the opposite direction on the highway or something.


Same here I don't really drive anywhere during the week, that's what the glk is for, and I have already popped 2 tires :smash:. I must say driving to see my parents out in the suburbs over the weekends makes those Saturday and Sunday drives a blast in the C! :zoom:

I got a call from a friend of mine who thought he saw my car on the highway. It turns out it was you right after you got your car back with the S/C.

I am working on getting my summer tires right now with street radials for the dragstrip. Hopefully my car will be ready to go late May/early June. It would be a blast getting a group of C63 to show up at the track and take on american muscle.

I love Addison/Schaumburg/Oakbrook for the C63. The roads are nice enough not to bend a rim or need a chiropractor from the stiffness. I drove mine to the city twice and regretted all the abuse it took as a result, all the way from the rocks hitting the car from all the rock/hauling semi trucks on 90 and 290 to the pot holes in the city streets.

There is a really nice 2010 Black C63 with only 23K miles, white interior and CF diffuser sitting at MB of Hoffman Estates...

That would be great, I should be getting my car back just in time for the wannagofast 1/2 mile event June 1-2. After that weekend is Timmyfest in Ohio June 7-9th if anyone wants to join. Then should be free for the 15th or 22nd of June.



I love the streets in those areas, the only thing is that the cops in those areas don't really like me lol:X

You have to be careful, I try to only drive the C when I know there wont be traffic and on roads/highways I am familiar with :zoom:

You were either n 90 or 53. Don't remember which.

Just saw a red 08-11 sedan on Army Trail road in Bloomingdale going west. One of the first red ones I have seen.

Im usually around Kinzie and Franklin in River North... Driving is not that bad in the city. But again Im use to it from my previous car that was even more brutal.

Naperville's road are in decent shape but too much traffic and too many cops to do any spirited driving.

I can't complain about the highways though, 355, 55 as well as 88 aren't to bad. In my experiences its more likely to see a cop driving then just posted up somewhere trying to catch people with a gun.

Its black on black but all my badges are on. I've seen the one with no badges but AMG before. Ive also seen another one downstairs in the parking lot of East Bank Club as well.

I saw a white sedan downtown today around 10:30-11am... loud!.. definitely exhaust.. turned north on state street..

I'm often downtown.. as my office is in the financial district (franklin and monroe)..

I have a silver c63 coupe.. stock hardware.. but eurocharged as of yesterday.

Spotted white sedan today in the whole foods market parking lot in south loop.

I will be in Chicago area the week of July 7 th with my C63.
I running at Autobahn CC on Monday that week. And will be staying in the Glendale area

Picked up a black 09 in august. Too late in the season to have any fun, getting blizzaks on when I get back to the US this week. Those summers are brutal when the temp drops! Up for a day trip / track meetup when the weather breaks. A buddy has an E63 that would also join.

I also don't see many other C63s in the area. :nix:

bringing mine to chicago soon. over by indiana/roosevelt :)
