XKR-S vs C63
It is very common for a big discount to be given on a "new" vehicle. When my wife and I were looking for an SUV we went to a Benz dealer and they were selling a "new never titled " GL550 with 7k miles on it. The owners wife drove it for the yr and they had it at 20k off msrp to make room for the new 2013 models that had came in .
Edit: In fact what they (owners of dealerships) usually do is drive a car for a few K and still try to get pretty much as close to msrp as possible...w the salesman always telling you "Hey this car was driven by our owner, its in perfect condition" and all that jazz...like him driving the car makes it special... So why is this one an exception?

As for the car itself its the best austin martin/jag has to offer pretty much nowadays.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My local Benz dealer has a fully loaded '12 E63 never titled for $81k from a $117k sticker.
The dealer can't get anywhere close to sticker on a '12
I think it's an awesome car at an awesome price....it's extremely rare
Like others have said, I believe the reason why it is not selling is because of the price point. It was on my list for my next daily driver but the dealer was offering about 7% off the car so at that price, it did not make sense and the Viper would have been my choice.
At 82K, I would jump on it without even thinking about it as long as you like the color.
You can't find a V10 R8 at that price (the V8 is underpowered) or an Aston under warranty.
If it was not for the color (will attract a lot of attention), I would be tempted to buy it.
Regarding reliability, Jaguar has come a long way. If you can get a 3/4 year bumper to bumper warranty, I would not worry about it.
Post pics if you get it.

You have to get the Jag at that price but be prepared to be an owner for a while because French Racing Blue is a color for only a chosen few and any dealer will hit you hard on a trade in. Clearly the dealer doesnt want it and its a Jag dealer so the next dealer will obviously hit you even harder especially if they are not a jag dealer. Its just not a wholesaleable piece.
Lets add some facts to it besides all the opinions; these are recent and not so recent auction sales for a 2012 XKR-S coupe- obviously these are zero cost buys and dealer pricing will be higher due to many factors including but not limited to costs such as: recon, parts, sales, transport, etc.

The most recent sale was 92k with about 1k miles--- you are still ok depending on a few things but like all cars depreciation will get you. Id say at this moment if you bought the car you want (Jag) and drove it off the lot and then back on with 1 more mile; you would get a 75k or even lower bid. The Jag is a softy no doubt but buy the car that inspires you and makes you happy because depreciation makes everyone sad except those who dont pay attention to it or those who dont have to worry about it.

Performance overall: gtr>xkrs>c63>rs5
Straight line speed(highway speeds) : xkr-s>gtr>c63>rs5
Everyday drivability/well roundedness: rs5>xkr-s>c63>gtr
If I could only have 1: xkr-s>rs5>gtr>c63
These are just my opinions obviously, but just giving perspective from testing them all out.

. I mainly did the different breakdowns for the OP, as i know this vehicle was going to be his main car. The RS5 is an interesting case. I actually had an order placed on one way back around 2008-2009 when they first started talking about the car...But, that was when the rumor was that it would receive the TT V10 that's currently in the RS6...when i found out that instead they were going with the N/A V8, i quickly cancelled my order. But I ended up going to drive one anyways while i was looking for a CBS, just so i had other options to go with. i didn't get a TON of seat time in it; much more in the other three. But you're right, compared to the other three the RS5 just doesn't really keep up in terms of straight line speed. I've always had a problem with any of the audi's short of the V10 R8, in that after a certain point they just kind of die out. And thats pretty much the way that i felt about the RS5. The 4WD system is definitely good as far as getting it off the line and handling, but the overall performance of it just isnt up to the level that i feel the other three cars are.
But, as a purely daily driver, i felt it was by far the easiest/most comfortable to drive if it was on a daily basis.
The XKR-S; that car kinda has me with split emotions. I think its an absolutely beautiful car both inside and out, with an exhaust note to match. The car is definitely fast in the straight line speed department, IMO the fastest of the bunch on the highway. However i didn't really care for the highway gearing; it had one of the longest 4th gears of any car i've driven, and i actually found myself twice trying to upshift to 5th during a pull, before realizing i was only at ~5k RPM. Legroom was a bit of an issue for me as well(im 6'9"), much more so than any of the other three including the GT-R. I fit, but I certainly could've used a few more inches of legroom to be really comfortable in the car.
Honestly though, and as i said in my initial post, I just didn't like the handling of the car at all. It felt extremely soft, and gave very little feedback in terms of reaching the limits. To me, it felt exactly as I would have expected a Jaguar to feel; Ultra, almost too refined. I'm used to aggressive cars at this point(I daily-drove my GT-R even when it went up to 700whp), and going from the Black Series that i had driven the day before, to the XKR-S was night and day. Even though in terms of "Black Series" cars, the C is much more refined than the previous ones, compared to the Jag it felt like a true muscle car.
The Black to me is the ultimate level of both comfort and performance; its my favorite car that i have ever driven, and the only car i would even consider trading it for is the upcoming 991 GT3 PDK, but I would truly have to love that car more than any other obtainable car to even think about doing that. But, that being said, and even after any of the complaints I had about the XKR-S, I was still about 5 hours from purchasing one before my MB dealership came through with a CBS in literally the 11th hour. It really is a nice, fast car. But it just didn't have the "edge" I was looking for to put it over the Black.
Sorry if that was a bit long winded or i repeated myself, i tend to do that sometimes

Now after the AWD comes out, the new E63 will beat it handily from a dig but from a roll I still like the M6. I got the M6 also for the interior and the amenities. I like the layout of the car with the nav, led lights, heads up display (this rules), and other creature comforts. The leather is merino which to me is softer than nappa and the overall cabin is more inviting. The m6 gets the carbon roof as well which adds to structural rigidity and you can feel it in higher speed turns. Its a well made car- more of a sports gt cruiser with luxury vs the E which is a luxo car with sports car characteristics. The E will and does sound better though- I had to change the exhaust asap on the M6.
