Hi fellas, just ordered one today. Just wanted to know how tunable this car is and if so, how long would it take for a tune to come out for it? Please, any tuners feel free to chime in.

If I had to make a guess, with the amount of power that car is putting out on 4 cylinders there won't be much more wiggle room as far as tuning is concerned. At least I doubt you'll see huge gains from the tunes. 355hp out of a 2.0 is quite a bit, especially stock and then a tune has to be conservative enough to not blow anything up which will take some time testing.

If they come out I'd be 2-3 months from when they are released. Even then, I'd still wait if I were you to jump on the 2nd/3rd batches of tunes to come out to get the kinks worked out.

Thanks for the input fellas. Appreciate it. I just figured I'd jump into something new until the New C63 comes out, which I'm assuming will probably be about 18 months or more. The CLA45 seems like it'll be a pretty cool little AMG.

its already going to run like 26psi or so, as mentioned probably not a ton of wiggle room in stock form. It all really depends on the whole package, fuel system, engine internals, turbo and transmission. seeing how evo's can easily put down 500whp with 2.0L im sure the future will be bright but most of these type cars seem to use as small a turbo as possible which will hold it back up top for peak power. The turbos are usually made into the manifold making manifold and turbo replacement necessary for upgrades which drives the price up. i bet with tune, intake and turbo back exhaust it'll be knocking on 400 crank hp but that'll be where the "value" if you can call it that will end for making power. Im also interested to see how the rear end will hold up. It has clutch packs built into it that engage as necessary making this a fwd bias'd car.

I say, why worry about it if it is just a transition car. Buy it...drive it...flip it when the new C63 hits the market.

Coming from a C63 w/a tune, i just figuered I'd try and squeeze a little more power out of it if it was possible. & yeah I'll post pics. It should be here in November. Thanks again fellas.

0-60 cla45 will destroy a tune only c63 (unless it on drag radials) so it'll feel fast where it counts.

There was a test done on the A45. 0 to 60 in 4.1 and 12.6 1/4 mile. I don't think it's destroying a C63 at any speed but appears to be quite capable. I've got one on order!

I'm looking forward to playing with all the technological features that my '08" C63 didn't have, plus saving a bit on gas also. It should be a fun car to drive.

Renntech just got a A45 and dyno'd it at 340 all wheel horsepower. This calculates to nearly 390ish crank. These little 4 bangers are going to be really beasty. Good luck with it!

It seems like VATH already came out with tune for A45. Engine is the same so it should work. Plus they should come out with other CLA 45 parts also.

Yes i did order that but in no way does it sound as nice as my C63! I'm really going to miss it.

I love my V8 soundtrack- I don't know if I could give it up. This new AMG is really sharp and quick as all hell though.
