Blacked Out Roof
Who here has blacked out there roof? Either painted or wrapped.
When I had my C350, it had a panorama roof so it was blacked all the way across the top. I really liked the look of it.
I have been thinking about blacking out my roof on my new 507, but would like to see some pics of your cars. Will you guys post up some pics of your cars with blacked out roofs.
Thanks.

I was contemplating this as I had the exact thing on my C350 previously (panoramic roof) and loved the look. But decided to go against it, just thought a wrap like that would look tacky/cheap.

Thx Mort, yep my roof is painted glossy black.. Very shiny, durable & maintenance free (compared to vinyl).

Yes, I did have the panorama on my C350. So, my roof was essentially blacked out on a white car. It looked great. So I guess it would look the same on the 507.
Yeah I saw it before. I did not like the matte look.
No, but it's close. My 507 is on the truck right now and should be here any day. It is white with all black interior, not the porcelain/black combo. It is straight up black and white and I have some CF pieces to swap out on it.
Of course I have seen Roswell's car. Meng and I have done some exchanges outside of the forum. He is a little mad at me over the ACG incident, but the full story did not come out well and I didn't want to continue fighting on the forum. I got shafted and that's all I will say.
Dr. John, it's nice to be back on the forum again. I had to take a break because it was consuming my life at one point. You have already put me in touch with Deviate and I like their work. Definitely gonna use them for the tint. Maybe the roof too?
I would love to get back together. I do not mind coming to H-town and would really like to see you guys again. Let's set something up.
Meng, you have some more pics? Any good angles?
Your roof definitely looks good. And gloss looks WAY better than matte. Someone did a great job on your car.
Good looking C63!!!
Plenty of us here has done this, you can check member clichere1 's signature

Jordan, I'm not mad at u for the Forgestar wheels story, I just gave benefit of the doubt to ACG about the restocking fees cuz the wheels are on another member car. On the other hand, I did mentioned I know how close the CF5V are to the calipers, so everyone has different comfort zone. Let just put this to rest.
I sure have pics of my car with the black roof. I'm at work, but can post tonight when I'm home. Or u can search "post started by Roswell", I have lots of pics of my car there lol

Meng-
I was just messing around and being a little sarcastic and a smart-***. No worries, it's a done deal and behind me.
Your car still looks great and the job that someone did on your roof is great. Painted or wrapped? It's kind of hard to tell these days and on the internet.

LOL no worries Jordan, I know you want to forget & move on.
My roof is painted, I only paid 300$ tax in to paint it & my front grill + installing my CF front lip & my CF roof spoiler..
I got quoted 300$ for wrapping the roof only, so it was a no-brainer for me. LOL

4 years?? Wow!! I am really impressed. I cannot decide between a wrap or paint. I know that there are pros and cons to both. I have never wrapped anything. Painted many things including grille, and never had an issue with chipping.

Jordan, the roof spoiler is mainly for looks, all show no go! Lol Perfect with my black roof.
As for having good relationship with my bodyshop, they are my local Chrysler dealership where I serviced my former Stealth TT & I recently purchased my minivan from them.. So if u treat ppl right, they will return u the favor.
Since then, I brought them a lot of biz cuz I love the quality of the dealership work, and their pricing makes it even better.

I do have to say, the roof spoiler does look really good with the blacked out roof. It just looks like a nice extension and adds something to the overall looks of the car.
I am getting into it more and more. What is the install like? Where does it attach? I assume the roof rails? Is it a permanent install or can it be easily removed?

The roof spoiler is glued on the back window, not the actual roof. Mine is on tight to avoid loosing it on the hwy.
