Just wondering - so much speculation regarding the actual difference in outputs of these two engines.

Has anyone driven both STOCK 507 & P31 cars back to back to see if they, as a driver, can detect any slight difference in performance between the two?

I did drive a standard C63 and a P31 on a racetrack and it was hard to tell the difference power-wise. You are also concentrating on a lot of other things, i.e. not crashing, but I feel a sizeable difference from the non p31 to the 507. First trip to redline was breathtaking ( maybe had to do with the 10 days of break-in) but in general the characteristics of the p31 or 507 compared to the regular car are very noticeable, especially top end.
