Blackening window beading. Advice needed.

I am more or less done with the cosmetics of my car. Looking for a solution to colour the beading that goes around the top of the window into a gloss black.

Is it a big job to remove and have a body shop do it and does it go back on as well as the OEM fitment.
Has anyone done a vinyl wrap and got the finish perfect?

Here is a pic of the car currently. Got the front grill and the beading left and then need to work on the stance slightly.

Hi There,

Are you referring to the chrome window trim above the rubber seal? If so, its a very simple Vinyl Job. Most vinyl places will do the whole trim for 100-200 bucks.

If you are somewhat handy, its not hard to do yourself. Or You can have them painted. However, I like the idea of Vinyl as its reversible and a heck of a lot cheaper. Plus you do not have to worry about flaking and peeling after time.

PS: I assume you had the BS kit installed aftermarket. Its an absolute monster buddy. Well done!

Guys this is a wide body conversion using prior design bodykit.

OP the chrome window trim is easy to remove and wrap as mentioned above. But man you need facelift taillights and a drop in the front IMO

I did vinyl and it looks great. If you're in southern california I suggest don Nguyen (sp) to do the work. he has ads on these forums you can reach him at.

I found someone to wrap and will give it as shot. Is there a plug and play solution for the tail lights?
The front must come down but by the looks of things I am going to have to take car of the fender lining first. Its not really sitting as flush as it should and when turning parked it touches on the one side. Recently it also started making contact at 300+ speeds so I gotta take care of that first before moving the wheels closer.
