Anyone with C63 feel free to chime in

It's probably nothing but when I'm at a full stop (foot completely on brake) and the car is at idle (by the tach about 550-600rpm) the car shakes very slightly. The best way I can describe it is if you are on a bridge/overpass at a complete stop and a Semi truck were to drive past to where the roadway shakes slightly. That movement you feel in the car. I've never had a vehicle with this large displacement and this could be perfectly normal due to the engine size but wanted to throw it out to the community. I don't want this to be confused as rough idle because engine rpm's are steady but the can is just moving slightly? Not a vibration either. Don't really know how else to describe. I only have 900 miles on it so I hope my question is not to early. Thanks

Normal. No worries.

ghiaguy 12-26-2013 04:24 PM

Normal on my C55 as well, wonder if it goes all the way back to the V8 w202s...

Giedreb 12-26-2013 04:34 PM

Normal here, it's the dragon purring :)

I have the same results.

My sweet 507 is just shakin' at the light, ready to go!!!!!

It's not that bad though. Sometimes it's completely normal and still.

Same in my car. I think of it as a Lion shaking the water off after a shower. lol.

What type of gas you guys using ? This happens to me when I use 93, when I use race gas it goes away, now I don't know if it's the gas or the Italian tune up but it's works for me.

Hi,

I had this happen on my 507 on delivery day. I had about 60 miles on the clock, was at a red light and started to shake. It was a little shocking at first but then I hit the gas and well...all concern went away! It still happens from time to time but it goes away after 1 or 2 shakes.

As for gas, I've used mostly Shell with a mix of Sunoco and Mobil. All 93 Octane until I get up to Montreal for Grand Prix weekend and dump some Petro-Canada 94 in the beast!

Enjoy your 507.

Thanks everyone for the quick chime in. Seems it's pretty normal and I'm glad other 507 owners are chiming in too. Yes, all 93 octane here. Thought of a good description - "slight rumble". Anyway, loving this thing more with every mile. Thought I would throw in one gratuitous photo in this thread.

It's normal. The car is a monster so it likes to shake about :)
