Coilover set up check!
Not all suspension installers are suspension tuners....long story short....carlsson coilover installed a few weeks ago....ride was unstable at high speeds and wandered on road bumps....the fix? After 5 poor ride adjustments and several email exchanges with Carlsson in Germany....I decided to locate a local true suspension tuner....found one...Suspension Performance in Mountain View, CA. Met Eric once was blown away by his suspension know how. I didn't describe my ride situation yet or application and he already knew the problems by visually looking at the car.
Eric is a suspension engineer by trade and worked for Lotus before arriving here in the US. He services and tracks Lotus cars mainly so wasn't sure if he would work on a MB. He said sure and bottom line.....I am dialed in and ready to carve some canyons. Car is night and day different from before. Quite confidence inspiring.
Issues:
Ride height too low in the front and wouldn't allow the shock to travel a full stroke. (Thought it looked fine to me but guess not)
Adjustments were different for rebound and bump on four corners (installer but ain't no tuner in the other shop). Now custom tuned for street and spirited driving. Different set up for track.
For those in the Bay Area looking for work done, I highly recommend this shop. Eric is awesome. Pricing is fair and turn around time excellent.

Yes he can install, tune and align....if broken...he can also rebuild it. I believe he can also sell and can get you parts if need be. Their specialty is lotus but he's worked on a c63 bs already and mine so far I think.
