my wife bananas! :D
you are looking at 13% of the 6k + whatever duty the carrier charges. DO NOT USE UPS.... they are crazy with their brokerage fees. use one that has a fixed price eg fedex

also if you are savvy enough... you can ship it to a border town... take your significant other on an overnight trip and drive the wheels through. good chance you dont even have to pay the taxes and the money you saved is more than enough to cover gas /food/ accommodations / fun etc etc...

if you plan it correctly, you can mount the wheels and drive it back, your oems will look well used so should not be an issue. but careful with the weather

If they are made in the USA you don't pay duty, just tax and brokerage.

You can clear them yourself if you go down to the airport and do a self clearance.
