Good Tire Dealer in Toronto w/ Reasonable Prices?
Does anyone have a good tire dealer in Toronto with reasonable prices?
I generally order from DiscountTireDirect (USA - but good prices) or PMCTire.com (in Quebec, good pricing but total nightmare with customer service (i.e., it doesn't exist) ... would rather pay $2 more a tire for decent customer service).
Would like to start ordering locally but can find a reasonably priced dealer. Any recommendations? Preferably someone that is comfortable mounting low profile 19" tires?

In the GTA most people will recommend Simply Tire or Tires23. I generally use Tirerack or Discount Tire Direct as well but have found that my local shop (Speedstar) can generally come close and/or match pricing from the US vendors. Plus installation is included as well. Try Speedstar and see if they can help out, ask for Albert the owner as he is a good dude.

I have no experience with Simply Tire but have heard great things about Allen and his team.
Typically the only tire place I go to is Tires23. Billy and team are a great bunch of guys and are enthusiasts (they treat your stuff with respect).
Depending on the "deal" these tire places get from the Manufacturers you may catch a decent price every once in a while. I remember Tires23 had great pricing on Falken tires a few years back. Now they don't even bother trying to sell them.
If you are looking for a specific tire / brand. Chances are your best bet will be searching online. If you drive over the boarder to Buffalo, some tire places there will price match Tire Rack

I am not sure about pricing but the owner (Mona) is a really cool guy and the customer
service is top notch.
I've had a very bad luck with tires but since I went to that shop *knock on wood* things have been good.
He won't recommend you anything just to make himself a buck rather to suite your needs.
I got Nitrogen filled in all my tires which is a relief from head ache as well.
I got my rims from him too.

Steelcase tires and mags in Toronto has the best prices, however they do not take appt to get it done so at peak times you can be waiting in line for hours. But off peak its generally not more then a half hour and the prices can not be beat

Bought my last two sets from Costco. if you buy at the right time, you can get $70 off per set, other rebates may apply depending in your membership. They offer road hazard warranty and lifetime rebalancing.
