New Owner Questions... Driving modes on C63 AMG and Oil?

I am a new owner with a 2012 C63 AMG P31 Coupe. I was wondering what engine oil you guys are using with yours and what the best for the car is.

Also, In regards to driving modes. What is the performance difference between S+ and manual? I understand you have to manually shift the gears in manual mode, but it is actually faster than S+.

Thanks

I believe Mobil 1 5W-40 is the currently recommended oil.

S+ will shift at redline for you, M won't. M is also slightly faster as you said.

Anything change in the ride or suspension?

How about traction?
Does anything electronic change like throttle response?

Don't you have an owner's manual? A lot of this is in there...

The C/S/S+/M selector only affects the transmission. There is no mode for suspension settings. For traction control, you have a button to switch between full on, sport mode and full off.

That's about it .

Before you ask, yes it is pretty much the same info (they use the same book) as for C63. It does have seperate areas for the C63 inside as well.

Well, I have 2010 in sport mode also tightens up steering wheel response versus comfort mode. In comfort mode cars starts off in 2nd gear rather than 1st gear in Sport mode.

Also, in sport mode suspension gets lowered slightly vs comfort. Sport mode also allows for more tire spin even with traction control on versus comfort.

I hope this helps.

This is not correct. Sport Mode only affects traction control.
C/S/S+/M dial selector only affects how the car shifts.

Neither does anything to the suspension or steering.
