is this normal

My guess, you go from spinning the tires (which will result in the rpms rising faster than if you had traction) to gaining that traction (so the rpms drop back down because of the traction)...
That or you are overrevving the **** out of it.

Yes, that is OFF.
You should see an indicator in the gauge cluster.
when you say "it spins" do you mean the tires or the rpms?
I have a problem only in S when flooring it from a standstill. I bounce of the rev limiter from 1st to 2nd. I am debating to get it fixed because I wonder if I have a tune from the previous owner and don't want it erased.
Is this your problem?
Others - what should I do? I'm still under MB extended warrantee from a CPO with a 2009.

Try reproducing it in auto.

50cent disagrees and so does everyone else (including me) who's laid a 100 foot+ burnout ...there is ZERO power cut with ESP-OFF..NONE what so ever, impossible..if there was how are there countless people who can bust donuts and burnouts until the tires melt?
If you want everything off (all the helper systems) that is what the Dyno mode is for.
Maybe this is what you meant.

- Thanks for that info. Glad I was solo and not at the drag strip.
