C63 507 Australia
It is the biggest single improvement you can make in the car's handling and traction. Even my wife is amazed at how the car stays planted in turns. She doesn't have my lead foot, but I can assure you that tearing away when the light changes under full throttle is my primary medication.
Quaife or WaveTrac, then you can see about other changes.
I'm not an Aussie but I've driven from Melbourne to Cairns and can pronounce both.
nice car where abouts are you

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I highly recommend finding out what oil was used previously that way you can top it up with te same oil.
Hi RawBenz,
It would still have the same oil as brand new, what do Merc use?
I might just pop round to the dealer.

Does your car have factory LSD?
You'll need to learn to use the throttle properly. Taking off (without traction control on) and spinning the wheels is simply because of driver control. It has a lot more Torque than your old M3.
I've owned both cars. My M3 was Supercharged and still didn't feel as though it had as much Torque as the C63 when my AMG was standard. (now it's heavily modified)
Get used to driving the car, get to know the car and you'll be ok.
You can fix the traction with wider tyres etc but that's only going to help and not solve the issue.
Traction WILL always kick in, especially in the wet. It is very sensitive (confessed by Mercedes themselves) but once again you'll need to get to know your car better.
I never drive with traction control on because i find it dangerous if i'm trying to pull out of a street and it kicks in. I also have factory LSD which does help, if you don't have LSD you can always think about going down the path of Wavetrac (i was going to get one to replace my factory LSD but decided to keep the OEM)
So in my opinion get to know the car, the power, the throttle and you'll be fine
Congratulations on the new purchase.
For any future mods I couldn't recommend Weistec enough!
Weistec Engineering are the one and only for me!
I'd recommend either of their Supercharger Kits if you really want to go nuts, as in my opinion they outperform the competitors.
If you want the car to come alive i recommend Headers/Exhaust/Air Filters/Tune then S/C etc if that's what you're after.
Gluck !!

BTW - has anyone seen any actual recorded 0-100 times for the 507? Every figure I see just publishes what AMG say - 4.2. I haven't seen any actual tests to show whether this is conservative or aggressive. There is some weird site that posts "theoretical times" which indicates 3.8, but I'm not sure thats really worth anything.
It certainly looks like that doesn't it!

To be honest I didn't even notice the tyre marks until till I uploaded and started looking at the pics. If I were ever to sell the car, they wouldn't be the best pics to use on carsales

I really don't know how they can come up with an accurate figure, if I floor it from a stand still, I just fry the tyres! If it were properly launched with good traction, it would have to be 4 seconds at the most I reckon.
