About a month ago I picked up a C63 AMG. Life has been amazing since. I'm looking to get the data card.

Hello All, can someone please do a VIN decode on WDDGF77X39F220211 please? Thank you in advance for your help and time.
I was a very active member of this forum back in 2002 for a few years I haven't been a Benz owner since my long demised beloved w203 c230k (2.3L) coupe w/ some AMG brakes and Kleeman pulley upgrade as well as suspension parts. Having gone through a range of cars and currently have a 987 Boxster for the weekends and a Caddy ATS 3.6 for daily, I was thinking to get something a bit more fun for daily as I know carpool and dont put as much miles. Also, as much as I enjoy the ATS, with a 5 months old now, it's a bit hard to get in/out to put the child seat in/out due to sloping roofline in the rear. I recall w204 to have a slightly taller roofline in the back? Anyhow, I'm hoping to get a PPI done and would love to rejoin MBWorld again as an owner.

Yes, and it’s easy. Plug the cigarette lighter into an electrical socket, start the car, then press the “Ok” button on the steering wheel 63 times while flooring the gas to redline. It’ll turn your car instantly into a P31.

But if you're just looking at a glance, if it doesn't have a dark gray manifold or red calipers it's a good indication it's not a p31.

I'm not sure how much any option, including P31, increases the cost of a used car. But if you can find one for a reasonable price, why not? Better brakes and stronger engine. You can still mod to your heart's content, but why not start with an engine that has lighter crankshaft, pistons and rods? Considering the original owner will be the one who takes the hit, not a subsequent buyer, I'd think a P31 car would be a very smart move.

2010 Mercedes E350
Noob question alert
So Im pretty new to Mercedes as a brand and brand new to this forum. I’m in the market for a w204 c63 and pretty much established the p31 package is a must for me. I’m looking at a few different examples and I noticed they do have the carbon spoiler and diffuser, the red brake calipers, the half alcantara steering wheel and the darker intake, but when I put the vin in a decoder it showed it doesn’t have lsd (which I know not all p31 cars had this) but it also is labeled as p30 and not p31 under “AMG development package.” This is probably a really stupid question but do p31 cars come labeled as p30 and then some other codes that makes it a p31? Or does the fact that it says p30 as the code mean it’s a p30 that looks like a p31? Yes I know I can hear the face palms. Please go easy, I’m just a nerd loool!

P31 with LSD 471 Option
Hello Billythekidd.
If you are looking at a 2012-2014 C63 W204 with P31 and LSD also the coupe was manufactured from 2012-2015. On the Data Card it has everything you mentioned, but to know if has the LSD,
this is the Dark Grey Intake that comes on all P31 C63's from 2012-2014 Sedans and 2012-2015 Coupes
Option Code 471 needs to be listed on the datacard. Also, I visual that will tell you whether it has the P31 Option it will have a Dark Grey Air Intake Plenum rather than the light grey on.

Also, somewhere along the line the P31 became the P30 package.
Even the last 507 editions didn't come with LSD as standard
