Full Catless System

I have a friend of mine who has these current modifications:

Tune
Secondary Cat Delete
She still has resonator in place (doesn't want drone as it's her daily)

She is thinking of doing one of these mods, either installing high flow 100/200cel cats as primaries or removing the primaries altogether. She wants the car to sound more aggressive and louder.

Can anyone recommend what she should do?

Thanks

I don't think she wants to spend that much.

What method was used for the secondary cat delete?

Here is mine with secondary cat and res delete... It also didn't drone. Only revved to 2500 because neighbors were out but that car was seriously loud with just that done. Other members can attest to it.

And no, it didn't drone.

I'm not sure what method was used, it's not my car and she just bought it recently.

2011 MB C63 AMG. 2014 MUSTANG COVERTIBLE V6. 2010 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE V6.
i went straight pipe @ 2nd cat and resonator…i have no drone. just sounds monstrous as soon as you hit 2500 rpm. and even regular cruising you can hear a noticeable difference.

She has an aftermarket tune, will it throw up a code if you remove primary cats and run straight pipes?

If the tune isn't meant to delete the code, then yes, getting rid of primaries will lead to a CEL.

The answer is already here. Just remove the resonator. Don't mess with the primaries unless you are in an area that doesn't need inspections and also have a tune that will delete the CEL.
