C63 aftermarket carbon fibre intake

I am looking into mass producing a carbon fibre intake for the c63. It won't be a cheap Chinese copy type either. It will be professionally made by a local company here in Australia who currently make cf parts for Mercedes aus and Porsche aus.

I'm trying to gauge some interest and see if there is a need in the c63 community. At the moment it looks like it would cost $2500-$3000aud. It would be based off the Renntech design but modified and changed.

Would other c63 owners be interested in a group buy? I can get one made which will take about 6-8wks for the 1st one, from there on it I will need a lead time of around 2wks.

So this is most likely a group buy for aussies?
Because price wise the renntech sells for $2500US if I'm not wrong so shipping would kill the group buy for US members.

Yeah it would be dyno proven. The renntech one has proven gains. And with this one we would be trying to improve that. With out results it would be useless.

Can do any where around the world. Pricing is not 100% yet. Shipping from aus to us is around $500. I will have to confirm pricing if we were to go ahead with say 10/12 items.

Is the renntech item not $3000? I always thought it was.

I'd be interested depending on gains and final price.

What is the company and can you link to some examples of what they do.

The renntech Intake is about 2600 USD.

If you are going to market a new intake, it better be priced right. Either way I don't think you will get too many interested buyers. I have the Renntech Intake, It does actually make some power. But for 3K I rather buy headers.

IMHO, with ROW boxes at <$500, and proven competitors (actual companies who have spent the time and $ on development and testing etc) already at your suggested price, I'd say your target pricepoint should be around $1k, otherwise you'll sell about zero of these intakes.

Salam brother.

Honestly.. spend the money on something else. All those carbonio's etc are just for aesthetics man. Even if they have 'dyno proven' figures, they're hardly noticeable.

It's a w*ank factor to be honest, i never got he point of people spending 3-5k on carbonios and intakes when you can spend it on something else.
