Will Stock 18" wheels rub on 275/35/18 and spacers
Hi guys, I'm fairly new and just don’t have much time to spend hours and hours on the forum with my job, so I apologies in advance please don’t bash the thread because I didn’t go searching the forum.
I'm looking to upgrade the stock look Ideally I would like to run 275/35/18 rear 245/40/18 front Michelin PSS 12mm h&r spacers in front and 10mm h&r spacers rear does anyone with experience know if this set up will rub? or guide me to a thread to answer my question? |
I run 12mm spacers front and rear. I am running 235/265.
Not sure if this helps but no rubbing here. |
I have H&R coilovers maxxed out on the drop, running 235/40 front and 265/35 rear, no spacers... No rubbing...
|
Depends on rubber. 275s will rub if you have 10mm spacers and a drop. 265s should not rub but depends on rubber brand and car. Some people have run 265s w/ 10mm spacer and been fine, some have rubbed with exact same setup, but most of the time they won't with 10mm spacer.
The front you will more than likely rub with 12mm spacers, 245s and a drop. |

Roswell told me I would rub with 265 and 10 mm out back. I don't doubt it. I hardly have any room back there. 275 would most definitely be a no go.

On H&R springs w/17mm pads.

I believe Autosport is not lowered either. Your rear tires will stick out a bit with 275 & 10mm spacers. You will only rub with passengers I guess.

Do you suggest 265 and 12mm all around? |
12mm is too far out even with 255, but again u r at stock height so u should be ok.
I would go 265 w/10mm at most. 275 on 18x9 might be too meaty on sidewalls & compromise the stability of the car in cornering, like that mushy feels. |

Here is an old picture showing the 10mm with 255 dropped on h&r.. It is very tight back there.

At stock height, u will definitely be fine with no passenger @ 275-12mm combo. U get more choice than lowered.
Again, 275 on 18x9 is not the best set up from reading ppl feedbacks. Ppl said 275 works better in 19" wheels. |

Daily driver w/ 5 passengers at time.. No go at 275 with any spacers size.
Just do 275 alone if u want the beefy look. The fat sidewalls will help make them look flush. |

Search for member khmergod, he tried 10mm with 265 PSS & rubbed. Props to those who pulled it off at 265 w/10 or 12mm rear. |

Guys I got the 275 / 35 n 245 / 40 on
Need more aggressive any feedback would be great |
what are you looking for in terms of aggressiveness? That setup on stock suspension seems pretty aggressive without spacers or lowering, it's about all your gonna get.
