2012 c63 Cold start temps question
Newbie here, so excuse the ignorance regarding this question

Prior to cold engine start, a scan of the oil and water temps under the AMG submenu indicate temps no where near ambient. Is this normal?

Yes.

The water temp will only read what the analog gauge on your cluster reads, minimum of 40C I believe. The same goes for oil temps.

Think my oil temp is ambient and my water temp starts at 40*C. My garage is 16*C and my oil temp gauge just read 16*C but the water temp indicated 40*C and always starts there whereas my oil temp varies with ambient temp.

Oil temp is ambient and coolant temp minimum is 40.
